Use of Credit card by providing Wrong information

Location/place: Bangalore

Name of company/service: Dining club

Dear Customer Care,
I am regular user of HDFC bank Credit card. On Saturday i received a call from Dining Club and they told they are having some tie up with HDFC, and my card is selected for the offer from Dining club which is again joint tie up between HDFC and Dinning club. He asked all my card details for some verification purpose. Before providing the card details i asked several time that not single rupee should get deduct from my credit card for this then only i will provide all the details. The executive told “nothing will deduct from your card , these details we are asking just for the verification purpose . Nothing will be deducted from the card. After i finish the call , i receive the SMS from HDFC for the debit of 5499 from my card.

After seeing the message, i immediately call back to Dining club and informed that I don’t want any offer from your side and cancel my order. They literally fooled me by providing such wrong information. Now they are not ready to cancel my order or not giving any confirmation on cancelling the order.

I have cancelled /blocked my card to stop the misuse of my card . I also registered my complaint in HDFC bank and asked there help to resolve this .
Please need your support to get my money back .
