UNFAIR TRADE PRACTICE

Respected Sir,

This is to bring to your notice the unwanted trade practices being followed by vendors in vellankanni. The case in point is about a tea stall M/s Muthukumar Tea Stall a corner shop near bus stand in vellankanni opp to SBI ATM. This person charged me Rs 37/- for a two litre bottle of Kinley packaged water whereas the marked MRP is only Rs 27/-. When i asked him to furnish a bill for proof he had the audacity to say that we don’t give bills. A policeman standing there was contacted he refused to interfere saying he is part of some coastal group. What a loot. A place like Vellankanni where people from all over India come for a day or two are fleeced, its horrible. May I request your kind office to issue necessary instruction to the concerned department rep to pay a visit so that such people are scared in future when looting the poor pilgrims. I know people laugh complaing for such trivial issues ( my wife also made joke of me when i wrote this note) but as a soldier i feel pained to see such bad practices. I have full faith in the state machinery and hope that something will be done so that such things in due course will reduce.
