Unable to get device repaired

Location/place: Pune

Name of company/service: HTC corporation

Dear Sir/Madam

I purchased a Desire SV from Croma, Belapur on 25th December 2012. Not even two months into its purchase, I have visited the HTC service centres in Pune thrice. Each time, my problem has been that the mobile just switches off when trying to perform any SIM card related activity like making a call or sending a SMS. I would also like to clarify at this juncture that the problem is a manufacturing fault and has absolutely relation to my handling of the device.

The first two times, I approached TVS Express, who provided an extremely lousy service that only involved refreshing the ROM and blaming the problem on a faulty memory card and faulty SIM card respectively. Despite the internet littered with complaints against the TVS Expess franchise in Pune, I am appalled to see that HTC hasn’ t even bothered to acknowledge the issue. The third time, I sent the phone to Flextronics in Mumbai, who did change the SIM card slot but the same problem reappeared within 10 days of getting back the phone.

While I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by TVS Express, I understand that the technicians at Flextronics did attempt to get my problem solved. But what infuriates me is the reluctance of HTC to replace the device. Despite having already visited the service centres three times, during my latest conversation with a executive on your helpline (Ref No. 13INC090000138) I was requested to give the device for repair one more time. I am sorry say this but the image of HTC in my mind is of a ‘shrewd corporation that sweet talks its customers into buying its products and conveniently ignores them once the cash has been received’. If HTC is a credible firm with decent moral values, which I still hope it is, you should consider my aforementioned scathing remark with utter seriousness and look to repair your damaged reputation, at least in my mind.

Finally, I would like to say that I shall be going to the service centre tomorrow (in Pune) to submit my device in the hope of getting it repaired once and for all. Even after that, if I suffer from ANY problem, I expect my device to be replaced without any questions asked. If you are unwilling to co-operate with me in this regard, please let me know at the earliest so that I can initiate the required legal procedures against your corporation.

Many thanks for listening to my complaint and I hope to get sentient reply from you at the earliest.
