Ticket Issue

I am an indian student who has been studying and living in Vancouver for over 2 years. I was supposed to board the Hong Kong Airlines from Vancouver to Mumbai via Toronto on September 01, 2018 to visit my family.
I had web checked in to the airlines but during the check in at the airport, the airlines refused to give me a boarding pass on the basis of my missing middle name on the ticket issued to me by the travel agent.
The travel agency tried to pass a remark online to add my middle name, the airlines insisted on buying a new ticket with my entire name matching the name on my passport.
I was being harassed for over 3 hours and in spite of my repeated requests to solve the issue, the person at the counter of Hong Kong airlines was not even ready to listen and not interested to solve the problem, they were interested in me buying a fresh ticket as the flight had full occupancy and wanted to earn money by selling the ticket at an exorbitant price.
Akbar travel has not mentioned to include middle names or match the name on the passport when booking flight tickets. Due to this negligence by travel agency, I had to miss my flight and given a refund on the basis of “no show”.
This is unjust and unfair treatment by Hong Kong Airlines due to Akbar Travels. The travel agency should give me a full refund due to their negligence and lack of knowledge in international travel.
