I am Uttam Debnath, I had booked E-ticket for my mother Anita Debnath on 13th February 2013 with Date of journey 3rd March 2013 of “12436 / NDLS DBRT Rajdhani Express” having PNR no- 2714656079 from New Delhi (NDLS) to New Alipurduar (NOQ). my E-ticket was 2 (two) In Waiting list after chart prepared But still I am waiting to get my refund money . as per rule the fare money should automatically refund in my account but still it is not refunded by Indian Railway.
At the time of booking, booking status was “RQWL/CONFIRMED 000/” when I asked at customer care regarding this status, the representative told me that Birth no. and Seat no. will be allotted after Chart preparation. But it shown W/L – 2 after chart preparation. I have enquired the same thing at New Delhi Railway station they said it is only WL-2 and you cannot journey with this ticket, and since your ticket is e-ticket so your ticket amount will be refunded automatically to your account within a week.
I waited till 25th March 2013, when it didn’t get refund then I contacted at [email protected] same day and I was told to filed TDR online to get the money refund. I did file TDR same day on 25th March which was 22 days after journey date.
On 28th of May 2013 I received an email from [email protected] stating that “refund is not admissible as informed by Railways through their letter no : DNF010413V00049 and the reason being : ‘Delay in online TDR filing / TDR filed after 30 days’
I have replied them on 31st May 2013 that Delay was not done to file TDR as it was done after 22 days whereas rule says it should be done before 30 days which itself implies that reason provided by them is incorrect.
Sir, Kindly help me to get my money refund this is my constitutional right of being an Indian consumer.
