Name of company/service: Texas call taxi
I called a taxi from Texas call taxi, Trivandrum to travel from my home at Kaimanam to Trivandrum railway station. Distance is approximately 4 kilometers and duration 15 minutes. They charged me Rs.200 for this. The driver told me that the company charges for travel from the garage back to garage – a distance of 15 kms for the travel and 200 rupees is the minimum charge for a railway station drop, none of which was told to me while booking the trip. I don’t want my money back, but I would like someone to take action agaist such daylight burglary. Is there a law that enforces these companies to educate the customers about the approximate amount that will be charged for the trips booked? Texas call taxi is making easy money by cheating the public’s hard earned money. There should be an end to this theft.
