Name of company/service: Airtel
I have bought a new Sim (no. 9685803112) from the Airtel outlet – Shop no,1, Devi ahilya rd, Jail Road. Indore in the name of my wife & submitted the necessary documents asked by the authorised person. The same no was activated within 24 hours & incoming/outgoing facility started on the abovesaid no. We went to Mumbai last month for a vacation and our phone went out of order over there. While I inquiring at Mumbai Airtel Customer care I was iformed that the no. is not listed with them and they refused to help. I was told to contact Indore office to resolve the matter. When I contacted local customercare centre they told me they had to complete verification formalities due to which they had stopped incoming/outgoing facility on the above no. They assured me to restore it within one hour & done so within half an hour. Today my wife’s phone got out of order again and on checking I found that “SIM IS NOT REGISTERED”message was displaying. I contacted AIRTEL custmor care and was shocked to know that the above no. was deleted from the records. I have been a AIRTEL customer for a long time & always prefer & promote Airtel believing in (false) promises of providing high quality services to its customers (???). I have wasted a lot of time requesting Airtel authorities to resolve the matter but to no avail. Its very hard to expect such an irresponsible attitude & negligence from AIRTEL, committed for high quality services to its valued customers.
