shifting of landline telephone

i have shifted the home on 12 june 2012 my new home is nearly 300 metres away from old home i have given application for shifting my land line phone number 03412241740 on 18 june 2012 but bsnl asansol have taken no action since 26 june 2012 and also they have not temporariliy disconnected the service which in turns leads the continuation of service and for that period i have to pay without using any service
