I Booked a ticket from Bangalore to Kolkata on Duronto express. Below mentioned are the details:
Train No.:-12246, Class:-1A
Dt. of jrny.:-30/sep/2011.
From:-Yesvantpur. To:-Howrah Jn.
I also asked to cancel the ticket through registered e-mail because the site: www.indianrailways.gov.in, stopped working and is not working now as well.
They did not reply with a confirmation. I then sent another mail with all details and asked them to cancel the ticket.
They replied after many days telling that they have noted my request and would cancel the ticket by considering the first mail.
The ticket was not cancelled and no refund has been made till now. I also complained through their site. The complain id is ‘W/SW/SBC/000005341’ which you can also track at indianrailways.gov.in.I also went to the station for manual cancellation but they said online tickets can be cancelled only through the internet.
I also called them in 011-24107464, 011-26886540 on 1st week of october. They said the refund would be made in 1 week. Many weeks have passed but no refund has been made.
I would request you to please do the needful.
I also have attached a copy of the complaint, status of which is still pending.
