Reliance broadband and mental harassment with legal threat

Hi all,

I took a reliance broadband connection in Year 2010. I had a combo plan of Rs. 499 with 300 kbps. So I got a bill of Rs. 550.40 including all taxes each month. Now reliance broadband people
change my plan to some other combo plan. This combo plan have more rental then old plan. So the change my plan without my notification(with out inform me). So, because of this change of
plan, I got a bill of 1215.59 Rs in month of April 2012. Before April 2012 I got a called from reliance agent every week for a plan change. I simply reply to all agent that “I don’t want any plan change. I am satisfied with my current plan. So, I don’t want any plan change. And that new plan was high rental plan.” Although also they change my plan to some other combo plan. So, I called up to customer care and they told me your plan is changed to other combo plan which have high monthly rental then my older plan. I explain to customer care people that, “I did not give any conformation to reliance team about change my plan. So they explain me mail your issue at [email protected]” So, I mailed to reliance customer care team at [email protected] and explain my issue on Tuesday, 8 May 2012 11:28 AM. After 3 mail from my side they reply me on Saturday, 12 May 2012 9:54 AM.

Here is Sample of their reply

Dear Customer,

We have escalated the issue to our specialized team, who will look into the matter and resolve it on a high priority.

I did not get any reply till 16 May 2012. From 12 to 16 the May 2012 reliance team continuously called me to pay your remaining bill. And I told them “I have an issue related to bill. So once it solved I will pay bill.” and the ask me about my complain number. So through mail I asked them my complaint number. But they did not give me my complaint number.

Now on 16th May I got a mail from reliance. Here is Sample of their reply

Dear Customer,

Your plan was migrated from WICC300KB to WCCI549 by our representative Mr.Harish Nayaka on 19-03-2012 as per your request, registered vide Service Request ID 175750477 on 03/27/2012 after taking confirmation from you through telephonic conversation on contact number :XXXXXXXXXX

In addition, your current plan is an Advance Rental Plan. Hence, you have been properly charged in advance from 29-03-2012 to 18-05-2012.

We regret the inconvenience.

After this mail I reply them, Here is Sample that I reply

To reliance care team,

I already written that I did not give any conformation to change my plan. You just go through my call conversation you will come to know that I replied ‘NO’ to change my plan. Please reactivate my old plan. For your information, I will pay the current bill with respect to my plan not the current one.

Now, I mailed again to reliance on Thursday, 17 May 2012 4:53 PM

To team,

I still not get any reply from reliance. Give me solution. I got called everyday for bill payment and they asking me for complain number. You please give me my complain number, so I can update them. And they update in your system. If you are not able to solve this issue I don’t want your connection take your landline and modem from my home…..

Now on Tuesday, 22 May 2012 12:09 PM they replied

Dear Customer,

We have taken up your billing/plan related issue to the concerned department. Once the confirmation received will reply you shortly.

Hence, we sincerely request you to reconsider your decision for cancellation of services and assure you of our best possible services in future.

We regret the inconvenience.

So result of this I replied on Tuesday, 22 May 2012 1:32 PM

Hi Mohammad Shaikh,

I am waiting for your decision which is pending. Meanwhile please hold my service(without any charge). Every another day I got a call to pay my bill. Please tell your team that once this issued is resolve, I will pay. When everything is cleared then I will continue with my service.

I am waiting for your response. Please revert back soon.

Now, today is 18th July 2012. I still don’t get any reply from reliance team.

Now, before 2 days on 16th July 3:39 pm some guy is called me from +91 96608750XX number and introduce himself as a lawyer of high court of delhi. He told me pay your remaining bill otherwise I will take a legal action against you, I will case a file against you and you have to come on some xxxx date for hearing in high court of delhi. He use some abuse language on phone.

Is it the right way how reliance group treat with their customer? Is there any legal procedure there to answer that guy? What should I do?
