Payment against misplaced Credit Card

Name of company/service: Banks and Financial Institutions

This is regarding the Credit card no: 4006 6761 7405 4778 (this card was received on August 2009). The bank’s executive had told that we had to pay only Rs.250,as Annual maintenance charge, but the bank charged Rs.500 as the same. This issue was discussed with the Bank manager, Girinagar. After the discussion the bank manager told that if this credit card is not required please send back to ” SBI card and payment Service Private Limited”, Post Bag no:28, GPO, NEW DELHI – 110001. As per his suggestion, I sent it back (registered post with ad) to the above mentioned address on 03/09/2009.

After a month,I received a statement showing that ” You have withdrawn Rs.8000 cash and have spent some amount towards purchase” and I have received another letter stating that Rs.1500 was withdrawn on Sep 10th 2009.

As mentioned I have already sent back the card on 03rd Sep 2009, whereas the statement mentioned that the withdrawal was made on 10th Sep 2009. I wish to get to your notice that how could this happen…. Repeatedly there were calls coming from the bank insisting to pay the outstanding balance. Later when I went to the Bank (Girinagar), they told me to pay Rs.10,000, and settle to this account. As per his instruction we made the payment for the same.

Meanwhile we lodged a complaint against the Post Office,and repeatedly over the mail conversation, after two years I have received the letter (560300-16969 dated 02/05/2011 at bangalore) mentioning that aforesaid registered post has been delivered to ” SBI Card and Payment”, Gurgoan- 122002 on Sep 10th 2009.

In this regard, we incurred huge loss. Please take necessary action and get back to me at the earliest…
