My father late vasant y joshi expired on 29th march 2011. in his absense Wife and 4 sons. In his account of NSC maturity amount is Rs.4000/-. We requested the post master chinchani tal Dahanu Dist: Thane to hand over money or cheque in the name of his wife Ms.vasundhara Joshi as we dont have any objection. The post master given us format of affidevit and allied to be endorsed by notary public, oath commissioner with a stamp duty of Rs.400/-. Sir it is money of my father and my mother is legal hair since we have been harrasssed by post master. If there will be only Rs.100/- NSC then due you mean that we should give such a bonds by spending Rs.400/- towards stamp paper and other expenses for notary public and oath commissioner. also consider our travelling expenses. govt fee. We feel this is pure harrassment. kindly intervene in the matter and instruct the post master for an appropriate action please.
