ear sir,
I want to draw your attention regarding refund of my ticket with PNR
no. 2122694585. A ticket booked for 3 persons from jammu to patna jn,
date of journey was October 6, 2011. The cost of ticket was Rs. 4656.
The train was running 8 hours late so we didn’t travel and on Oct 13,
2011 a TDR was filed online by me. On April 6, 2012 i was informed
through an email that refund of above ticked was deposited in my
account which was Rs. 1746.
I have a few queries regarding this-
1. Why only Rs. 1746 was refunded? According to rules of railways if a
train is running late by more than 3 hours than the passenger is
entitled to get full (100%) refund.
2. Why refund was given so late? According to rules of railways refund
is made in 3 months but i was given after 6 months. Who will pay the
interest of that sum of money.
3. Why should not i move to Consumer Forum for the blunders made by IRCTC.
