Name of company/service: Newton Classes/Tution for mAths classes by Sh. R.K. Malik
Dear Sir,
I took admission of my ward Miss Megha Agarwal d/o Sh. Shyam Sunder Agarwal for Maths tuition by Sh. R.K. Malik at Newton Classes, 6th floor, Hariom Tower, Lalpur, Ranchi for Engineering entrance exams on 12.07.12. I have paid part of agreed fees of Rs.5000/- in cash that day and took a receipt against the cash.
In the evening, we wanted to withdraw my ward from that tuition classes and and i approached the admin for refund of my fees.
The admin informed that the fees is non-refundable and non-transferable and the same is mentioned in the admission slip and receipt of the fees given to me.
I wish to mention here that my ward has not attended a single class and have not taken any material-written or printed from the coaching institute. Then why we will not get the refund of my fees? We have not received any services from the coaching institute. Then as a consumer,we are entitled for refund of fees for which no services has been rendered.
In a similar order, the consumer forum has directed the FITJEE institute to refund the fees of a student who has withdrew his nomination after submission of fees.
I request you to kindly direct the Newton Classes, 6th floor, Hariom Tower, Lalpur, Ranchi to refund the fees of Rs. 5000/- to Miss Megha Agarwal against the services not rendered.
