Sir,
I was having a PLI opened in 1982.It was maturing in Sept’2007.As I am under transferable job, I made arrangement to pay the premium at Sathyamangalam Post office through my brother.
The premium was getting accepted until 01.05.2010 until I accidentally came to know that the policy is matured in Sept’2007 itself.I approached Chennai GPO and surrendered the originals and claimed the amount due to me alongwith the interest uptodate as being paid in NSC scheme.
They have refused and paid interest only upto only upto Sept’2007 and I lodged a compliant to Delhi,PLI division thru. e mail at the address [email protected].
Never during the period I received any letter about the maturity of policy.
The redressal is still awaited.
