Non-Delivery of Ubislate Tablet

Location/place: Wadala, Mumbai

Name of company/service: Datawind Ltd.

I have paid for Ubislate Tablet by cheque which was an advance payment to pre-order the tablet to get preference for early delivery, After making the payment when I asked them about the approximate time of delivery they asked me to share the payment details which is :

and

Booking ID : PM5F172
Name : Sumaiya Mondal

Date : 07-05-2012

This was in april 2012

The I got their reply with the acknowledgement which was :

This is to acknowledge that we have received your Cheque*/Demand Draft number 000022, ‘000023 of Rs2,999 Each . Thank you for your payment. The deliveries have been started .Your order is in process, You will receive your UbiSlate 7+ in Early July.

SO I had to wait until july which I did
Later when I tried to contact them in july as there were no deliveries coming my wayso I told them that the only medium through which you guys reply is through e-mails and you take 8 days for a single reply and the customer care number doesnt work, then this was the reply I got :

Dear Huzaifa,

Our primary customer support number is 1-800-180-2-180. Due to overwhelming demand, we are experiencing a very high call volume at our customer support centers. We are working with extreme urgency to build our capacity to respond to each and every one of you. If you cannot get through the customer support number, please email us at [email protected] and we’ll get back to you.

and the number obviously doesn’t work.

Later again on various e-mail sent from my end in september 2012 they replied with this :

Dear Sir,

We sincerely apologize for the delay in the delivery of your order .Due to some unforeseen circumstances the deliveries have been delayed. Your order is already in process, you will surely get your device in October.

So again I had no option but to wait so I gave it another shot and could only hope for the best.

Then in October when I tried to contact them they had a different approach on me saying that the tablet you had ordered is out-dated which of course was due to the time they had made me wait and asked to upgrade :

So I had no option but to go for Upgrade even though the tab didnt have sim functionality, later they came up with another tab with sim functionality, so I wrote them about the same that I would rather go for the Upgrade with the one with sim functionality and they replied with this :

Dear Sir,

You can pre-book new upgraded devices with Sim Functionality on our website www.ubislate.com

Hence after all the inconvenience I broke the silence and replied with this :

Referance :

Original Order Id for Ubislate 7+ : PM5F172 (Sumaiya Mondal) & PM1DA08 (Huzaifa Mondal)
Uprgade Order Id for Ubislate 7Ci : PMC21B5 (Sumaiya Mondal) & PM1C437 (Huzaifa Mondal)

I would rather want to cancel this order completely as pre-booking the other device which supports sim usage suggests waiting for another year sending mails to you guys. Hence I want the money back and im no more interested in any device which you guys have to offer me. Kindly share details on how I can get the money back and cancel the order officially.

Then I started getting failure email messages :

Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:

Technical details of permanent failure:
Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the server for the recipient domain kundenserver.de by mxintern2.kundenserver.de. [212.227.126.205].

The error that the other server returned was:
550 unrouteable address

Which suggested that the e-mails were no more routable to datawaind

Hence I lost all hopes of getting the delivery

Later In April 2013 I tried sending an email which got delivered so I asked them If I was ever going to recieve a delivery from them and they again played the same dirty game of Upgrade with me stating :

So I again opted to go for the upgrade and had my fingers crossed and this time I said I will go for Cash On Delivery for further payments because I seriously don’t trust you guys any more.

Then I checked their website again and found that I can check the order status which was something new from them, Hence I went in entering the booking ID – PM1DA08 and it said This is not a Valid Booking-id/AWB No.

Hence I asked them if I could cancel everything and get my 2999+2999 = 5998 back and ever since there has been no reply. Today I have sent them a mail with my account number IFSC code MICR code and also informed them about this complaint to you guys.
