Name of company/service: AOC Monitors

Appreciate you to read the below mail trail take not more than 10 mins

And rest of the team it will take not more than 10mins to read the entire mail trial and to make you aware how in india the service is supported, sorry for the inconvenience caused to other regions copying in the mail…

Hi Arun,
There is a miss communication or I am not sure is Manikandan is aware what i want to convey here, let me put down below in simple points:-

1) Model: T2442e was purchased by me and i made a big mistake should had gone for samsung or benq monitor i am sorry to say here
2) I had lodge an complaint there is an brightness issue and the service team told there is hardware issue and gave me options to go in replace of another Monitor (which will cost less than my purchase prize )
and in turn they gave me an 26inch LCD TV (Cost 16k)
3) Later i had issues with LCD TV since its not an monitor i had issues in viewing some applications.
4) The service team replaced back again with the hardware defected Model: T2442e and still i am having brightness issue..
5) Later i told since your AOC service team had give me an LCD TV (Cost 16K) then i opted for 3D Model as it cost the same prize.
6) I am ok to go ahead with any other Monitor which has speakers along with it, but the issues is it cost less than 14k for what i had purchased.
7) If i am given the amount difference i am ok to go with any AOC Monitor which has speakers along with it… and not expecting the 3D Model here.

I hope the above points are very clear and crisp and hoping you to resolve the issue ASAP rather eagerly in phase of closing the issue,

Have lost my patience now I need to lodge an complaint (with the help of My Uncle who is an lawyer deals with cooperate issues and also pretty face in Bangalore you will know once its been published in media with the help of TV9 and other news channels )…how i am cheated and frustrated now and there is no point in discussing this issue over the mail….

Note: Will be copying this mail to other region service centers to let them know how the issue is resolved in India also copying now the Europe region in the mail.

Thanks
Adil

Dear Adil,

Thanks for your mail. I’m aware that my colleague Mr. Manikandan has already spoken to you in this regard and the same was communicated to you by email as well. I have attached the email for your convenience.

In case you would like to go for a 3D monitor, kindly return your used monitor to the reseller from whom you had purchased and go for another model as per your choice. How to process the same is purely at the discretion of the reseller.

Once again, we thank you for choosing AOC. We understand that you had many other options.
We look forward to serve you better, exceeding your expectations in the coming days.

Regards,
Arun George

Hi Suchit,

I have intentionally circulated to the other Asia pacific countries service centers to let them know how in India the customer is treated, first they agree there is an manufacturing defect and replace with an LCD TV and not with an monitor…

Later give the same unit and further change some hardware and make the customer get frustrated until he does not a lodge an complaint in Consumer Court.

All I want is to give back my money or replace with an Monitor…. Appreciate you to read out the mail trails completely and not just forward some one to look at the issue were they are not capable enough to resolve the issue.

Thanks

Dear Mr.Adil,

Good Morning.

Model : T2442We
Serial No.: AOCAAANB1000335

Problem Reported by customer :
1. Brightness is in 100 in all the modes (Standard, Vivid, Movie, Eco) except in Personal menu.
2. When used as Monitor, changes made in Personal menu are not getting saved after toggling to other modes like Standard, Vivid, Movie, Eco

Our Findings:
1. Customer is using this Monitor TV (MTV) as Monitor.
2. In Monitor Mode, any changes like Brightness/Contrast/Color Temp is possible only in Personal Menu.
3. In TV Mode, changes made in other menus like Personal, Standard, Vivid, Movie, Eco will be saved to the respective modes itself. There will not be any change even if toggled between the menus.

Conclusion:
1. As per the product specification, under Video settings – Personal menu should be used for making changes in Monitor Mode
2. In TV mode – Video Settings – All Menus (Personal, Standard, Vivid, Movie, Eco) can be used for making changes.
3. We agree that this was not explained to you at earlier instances.

We hereby like to inform you that there is NO Functional or Manufacturing defects observed in this Monitor TV.

Hence your expectation for a 3D Monitor cannot be processed under Warranty. We are closing this call understanding that this Menu is a part of a Standard Product Specification and there is NO Defect in this unit.

Feel free to contact the undersigned for any other clarifications.

Hi Manikandan,

Following our discussion even though i do the changes in Personal mode while i am using the computer and change to other modes and come back to Personal mode it resets the brightness and not the contrast this to annoying. I hope you understand.

Also to update you if it was not an manufacturing defect then why the team agreed to replace with monitor and since the prize are less for other models they in turn gave me an 26inc LCD TV (cost 16k)..so kindly replace me with just the Monitor and give me difference amount else the 23inc 3D LED Monitor which is 2k extra from the amount i purchased and equivalent to the prize of 26inc LCD TV.

I would appreciate to discuss no more on the issue in rectifying the error and replace with an Monitor unit.

Thanks

Dear Mr.Adil,

Good Evening.

As per our discussion now and your feedback, you are able to change the Brightness in Personal mode but when you toggle to other modes like Standard, Vivid, Movie, Eco and come back to Personal mode, the changed settings are not retrieved.

· We hereby clarify that Preset modes like Standard, Vivid, Movie, Eco are available for TV Mode.
· When you use the unit under Monitor mode, request you to use only the Personal Mode. In Personal Mode, you will be able to toggle Brightness/Contrast/Color Temp.

We conclude that while you use the unit under Monitor Mode, you only need to use Personal mode to toggle Brightness/Contrast/Color Temp. There is no any Manufacturing Defect in your unit.

Thank you for your understanding.

For any clarifications, you can contact the undersigned.

Complaint : Hi Team, I am really frustrated now and thinking I made a real big mistake in buying AOC product, I had purchased T2442e which is TV + Monitor and I came to know there is an hardware defect to it and here is the job no: 120614012002 and the service team had taken back and they do also realized that there is too much of brightness and after few days I am now given the following product : L26DK99U job no: 120623013490 which in an LCD TV , I hope you do realize the difference between a monitor and TV, if I had to use a TV I would have not purchased an monitor to do my office + personal work and I think there is big difference between a TV and a monitor if it was not then no idiot would have made an LCD Monitor or a LED Monitor. Problems I am having now due to LCD TV:- 1. I am not able to change the resolution if I do the fonts are bluer 2. The screen is really big 26 inch and I cannot do my regular work and I am having severe headache 3. it’s a bulky device and I had purchased an LED and not LCD 4. I have some applications which need to be configured with my graphic card and due to which me having a TV it does not recognize. It’s been more than a month now and I am totally frustrated and have lost patience, I would appreciate to return back my money or I don’t no again I am making a mistake here by asking you to replace now with an LED monitor I mean the AOC products and I need an built in speaker and I prefer you to give the following product: e2352Phz reason being the other monitors cost less price and I have paid nearly 14k for this idiot hardware defect product: T2442e Appreciate your team to look into this issue ASAP and resolve without any further delay…. Thanks Adil 9740008814
