   Yes its true even i have the problem and i came to know that scores are being managed even though they are telling that its an strict exam …but people who are having good communication also being suffered

   British Council is a fradulent remanant of the East India Company. They claim to be a registered charity. Is there anything charitable about their activities?

   The British created an entire class of Indians, which formed their buffer middle zone, so as to govern this country through proxy. In this way, their army was mostly constituted of Indians – and you know,that a million of them fought during the Great War (1914-1918), a hundred years ago, in a conflict that did not concern them.

   I find that the British Council has replicated the same system: from security guards, to many of the officials, Indians unfortunate enough to be a member, often have to deal with Indians.

   It is sad that those Indians, these brown ‘sahebs’, as those created by the British, often want to be more British than the British, more Irish than the Irish, or more French than the French, in the case of the Pondichery Tamils, rejecting their Indian roots, though in truth, they are never fully accepted as one of their own by their white masters. Thus they have to make a show of being tough with those of their brothers and sisters seeking a visa.

   I wrote my ielts exam frm British council on 10 July at hyd……but till now I don’t get my result……I called 4 tyms to British council customers care……they were not responding and not giving proper information every tym they use to say wait for couple days so on…..when can I expect my result…..plz give me answer ASAP……

   I was having my speaking exam on 13th November 2014 ,and the teacher who took my speaking exam she was sleeping regularly after each question . So, she didn’t listen to me and when my result revealed she scored me with only 5.5 bands……
   so please do some thing for me ………………..as my requirement was of 6 bands
   and I can spoke very well above 6 also………………..
   please see to this and suggest me with positive attitude.

   I request to say that today ilets exam is leakout in India.so cancel today exam of ilets.Today one student just firmality in ilets exam so this student exam given by other girl.she have ditto copy of this student.Bcz whose girl taken a 7 lakh from her parents for 7 band.This madam also challange by student for no interview given by Canada embassy.But Student have very poor English.Paper given by other girl she belong to Chandigarh.I can’t tolerate this habit.punish those fraud girl.Bcz this person also loss to intelligent student.I again request to u plz stop this work.Who girl also exam of Jaspreet kaur Baghri .

   Hello

   I wrote my IELTS on the 31st of Oct and I haven’t got my results as yet. The results of the next batch has been published but mine is not yet out. When I call British council the representatives are so rude and don’t bother answering your questions in a courteous way, very impolite. My application process is getting delayed because of this and they have no answer as to when the results would be published. Please look into the matter, it bogs me down completely and its very depressing.

   Hi , i have given ielts exam in 20th feb. From idp vadodara ,gujarat Center. It has been almost 45 days still I m looking n keep calling to their customer care help line n mailing them but no one is responding properly . Plz can anyone tell me how much time dey will take to publish the result ? Every time I got the reply like ( your result is in the process due to quality control n etc . )

    Badmouthing a exam or exam centre just because you have not achieved your desired score is not warranted, however, when one fails thrice in a particular exam by 0.5, one just cant overlook the disparity between the candidates score and the examiners subjective scoring on it.

    I gave my IELTS examination in Oct 15, though scoring L 8.5 S 7 R 8.5 i merely made 6.5 on writing, i thought to my self, oh well, with years of speaking and thinking in english, both at home and school, i am not yet cut for writing, so i undertook a course for about 20 days, and gave it again in March 2016.

    This time i was quite sure, i would cross the line, but i was dismayed with the results, where again i scored top band in rest but scored 0.5 less in writing. I was shaken to core, questioning my language skills, and needless to say my self esteem and confidence, to fail an english exam.

    I did not bog down, i gave it again in May 2016, this time with about 2 weeks of rigourous scribbling and writing essays, going through all the books, to find the apt format and excel writing by big margin. But, IDP still didnt think my english is equal to band of 7, i recieved the same result i got 8 months ago, that is 0.5 less in writing

    Now i am not saying that i speak victorian english, but yes i do speak read write and speak in accordance to their prescibed 8 band. I am not saying this of my own, my essays have been validated with private british counicil examiners.

    After 3 failed attempts, my general understanding of the situation is, that this is an attempt to run a flourshing buisness, where you fail candiates by 0.5 , such that canditates are pushed to take the exam all over again.

    My college has been holding on to my scores for last 9 months, and i have already back logged in my career by 1 and half year, not to mention how much it had effected me both physically and mentally.

    These are my general questions from British Council/IDP

    1.Why does one need to do all the sections of the exam again if you failed only one?
    2.Although, I have a very legible handwriting, why is there no option of typing the written part of the exam, this is very advantageos for those who dont have a very readable handwriting.
    3.If you generally testing my knowledge of English, why do i need to prove it every 2 years, does that mean, if i was proficient speaker 2 years ago, i will forget how to speak english.
    4. this centres have structured there examinations such that a canditate is forced to shell money on giving exam again rather than contesting on the scores, as recorection takes a whooping 2 months, discourging canditates to contest the score and rather pay money for another date.

    5. My friends have shuffled accross different part of the country in lieu of getting better scores, how come scoring is done different from place to place, making this subjective exam more dubious

    IDP and Brithish council have murdered my dreams of post graduation, on there subjective correction, and i am of an opinion, that these people should be taken to task and highly condemned.

    British council give me bad service and response.
    I gave IELTS exam at 30th July 2016 from Baroda centre. There was made two issue : First issue is technical issue, because I changed 5 times headphone during listing exam time which they give me faulty headphone and second faculty issue because I have got headphone by faculty giving of other students. This issue regarding I complained on [email protected] for solution but they give me three option which are free resit, refund or score card but, I think that there is not properly solution. It is a one type of offers which do not accept me. Last, I request them for score card and refund but they give me only refund. This complain regarding I call them on customer care that time some employee give me bad response means 15 to 20 minutes hold my call as well as there are many problems in this company such as
    – no toll free number.
    – In my city(Ahmedabad), there is not available customer care service.
    – every time repeat questionaries on customer care.
    – every time they do mistake and they blame of us.
    – they do not give properly solution.
    . I have last option which I contact to media and court, because they do not solve properly to this issue and they have for this issue, so I think that this company play game with my career, time and my self.

So I took the test again after 1-month coaching and this time again my score was 4.5 band. I applied for rechecking but their team had lost my cheque for reevaluation sent by my agent to a British council employee. Then British council had refunded my complete test fees after I threatened them to go legal.

    Finally, I quitted the plan to go Australia for my MBA. And did MBA from India. And you wonder later I worked with British council from 2014-15 as a freelance staff where I gathered all the frauds happening.

    Those who are afraid that how their IELTS score is much lesser than their actual effort. Let me expose this fraud test IELTS.

    Well anyone of you can approach any Punjab , Delhi, Mumbai, Gujrat IELTS agents who train students for IELTS. You take coaching there for 2-3 months and then you just have to gain the confidence of the agent. After gaining the confidence you ask the agent that you will pay 6-7 lacs for 7 bands . I guarantee you that agent will anyhow get you the desired score.

    Now you will probably think that you are not gonna sit in IELTS test and the agent will get you through the desired score. yeah?

    Noo!!

    The whole process will be followed . You will be sitting in the exam, you will do your paper properly. in fact, the agent will prepare you for speaking test with the questions going to be asked in the test.

    But for listening reading and writing British Council people change your OMR and answer copy with the one who has scored 7 bands. But how do they change? there are your name and role number!!
    Man, it is mandatory that the candidates have to write their name in pencil, not pen. Also some-times they write the test at a later stage. as they have the answer copy/OMR printed from the market and replace with your answer sheets and OMR. Its all Indian Jugaad;)

    That’s tricky yeah!

    Hey, then what happens with the one whose answer sheets got replaced with you? Poor chap, next time he will wonder how come his score is less than his expectations ???:(

    Sad the poor chap didn’t know the fraud and hence did not pay to the agent…

    How come agent does all these?

    Well, the agent is in regular touch with the sales team of the British council team.

    Hey, that means British Council has a sales team!!!

    Yeah man, they have a sales team they do huge marketing 🙂

    But why ????

    Do people take more test because of the sales and marketing ??? Not to go abroad?

    Nooooo..

    Its all gimmicks … some clever Indian employees making fool of these expats and showing them there is a need of sales and marketing team.

    Nevertheless, one day I am sure media will expose this soon and then our innocent students will not have to suffer.

    British council’s staffs take money from CFA training institutes in india.

    It is done mostly in delhi and in mumbai also

    Fraudulent Down scoring system for making money.
    I am Ajitha Oommen, and I recently gave 2 General training IELTS Exams on 29th July and 14th September (through IDP in Bangalore). Please take a look at the scores from both the tests:

    29th July
    L-9.0
    R-8.0
    W-6.5
    S- 7.5

    14th September
    L-7.5
    R-8.5
    W-7.0
    S-8.0

    In both the cases, are you out to prove that someone who scores perfectly in Listening, Reading and Speaking in the first attempt not be able to score the bare minimum score requirement for the immigration process.

    This is how you get us on our Knees, with the scores of test dated 29th July; I was pushed to apply for a re-test as the process of re-evaluation takes 10 weeks and it costs around 85% fee of the actual test. So, I spent more time and money. Even though, I was always sure of my writing skills. I am sure you can judge that from this email as well.

    Yet, repeatedly, I have been scored down only for 0.5 differences in both tests. It is observable that IDP (fellow co-owners, the British Council and Cambridge English Language Assessment) has malicious intent of driving profitability. There is no concern, what so ever, about the impact such operating procedures have on the Education, Career and lives of people who are paying to be assessed.

    This is a serious corrupt business practice. Please share my writing copies for both the tests and let’s see if it was really worth the scores given.

    Why is it that, these copies are not shared with us, make them public, I have no issues. Since you have monopoly, you think it is alright to play with people’s money and life. I need a response to this mail or else, I will take this to the highest authority including the consumer court.
    I look forward for a swift response of this matter.

    This is the worst exam I have appeared for. I mean I don’t have any problem with the test format, but I am not satisfied with the evaluation. I think these people are making a fool out of hardworking people and play with their dreams. They make us lose confidence in our English skills. Similar thing happened with me. First time I took the test in San Diego, California where I scored L 7.5, R 6.5 W 7.5 S 7.5. But I was falling a little short on my crs score so I decided to retake the test. Second time I took the test in our great country India. I was pretty sure this time that I will get the desired score. But to my surprise I got L 7.5 R 7.5 W 6 S 6. I was surprised to the fact that when I can score 7.5 band in an English speaking country how is it possible to get a band 6 in a country where English is not the first language. Why the criteria for scoring is different in different places? Also what to do if this keeps happening?

    hlo please never ever book your exam by idp .i have problem that i still not get speaking slot date to select and idp customer care girl was very rude with me and asked me that you will get automatic speaking date when idp would provide.I told my problem to idp customer care that my mother leg is going to operate in 14 jan and i also have to live with her until 18 jan at amritsar ..but she said i can not help you.guys i just want to know if idp is can not provide equal oppurtunity to students to choose their speaking date then why they had announced that students can choose their own speaking date .they are lier and discriminate between students.they are not considering my urgency and customer care services are very poor .i recommend everyone not to book ielts exam from idp
    and want justice from consumer forum and want that will take step against tgis issue to address

    Today(13feb2020), IELTS reading exam was delayed for 40 mins and i dont knew the reason exactly.. And finally.. the question which I got was more trickier than ever in IELTS… In particular, general students need to get 30/40 in reading, but preferably they made very hard in this section…. Please I want to know reason behind this… Are they trying to make money with general candidates?

    Hello Sir/Madam,

    My name is Dhwani Patel. So far I have given IELTS examination 5 times in General, out of which 3 times I got required bands in all the modules except writing. I have a complaint regarding the evaluation of the writing module. Do you really believe those who are getting needed bands in Listening, Reading and Speaking, do not have capabilities to gain 7 bands in writing???????
    Nowadays it has become a business for IDP and BRITISH COUNCIL to earn money in wrong way. Nevertheless, one day I am sure the media will expose this soon.
    It is high time for our Education Minister to look into this matter.
    I am writing this complaint with the hope that I will get a solution of better evolution in writing modules.
