Fraudness of Manya Group Princeton Review regarding Admission Counselling Services

Location/place: Kolkata

Name of company/service: Manya Group Princeton Review

I have paid Rs 23400/- to Manya Group Princeton Review Kolkata branch (Minto Park 2/6 Sarat Bose Road, Central Plaza Building, Room no. 201, 2nd Floor Kolkata – 700020 Phone No.: 033-24858938 / 39, 40033181) for Admission Counselling Services on 28/08/2011. The Admission Counselling Services is a service in which they are suppose to shortlist five foreign universities to students where the candidate can apply for admission. Apart from this the service also serves essay preparation, editing, C.V writing, visa assistance etc. It’s a complete package that I opted to apply for P.hD in USA. But after paying the fees I found that the service is a fraud scheme. They just finalised one university and tried to skip to the next step in a hurry. So I deferred the service for next session on 19-November-2011. Later with my own credentials I got selected in a Czech university for P.hD. Now when I asked them to pay back my money they denied and told me repayment cannot be done even if one does not use the service. I also told them that I will apply to the consumer forum for this issue but they did not pay any heed to it. I also suggested them to enrol someone else for the service for which I have paid, so that his fees can be given back to me as a refund. But they did not give me any reply. Being a boy from a very mediocre family I need the money urgently as to support my visa and other expenses. Please help.

  2. I recently took the Manya Education counseling for my Masters and honestly speaking they did help me a lot.
If you are a working professional like me who is short on time then I definitely recommend trying the Manya Education service, it will save you the endless hours of tedious research. While that being said, since it’s your future on the line, please do your own research as well and definitely follow up with the admission counselor regularly for your SOPs and other stuff. They do stitch up a really good base for your SOP, but after that, it’s your job to fine-tune the details. In my experience, the counselors were quite responsive when it comes to making changes in the SOPs or any other queries. So, to conclude I definitely refer them if you don’t have the time to do all the research own and want someone to guide you. My Admits: Northeastern University, University of Florida, Santa Clara University, University of Illinois Chicago, Stevens institute of technology.
