Dear Sir/ Madam

I had purchased Kingfisher Airlines ticket for my wife and Kid.

12th Feb 2012 MUMBAI to HongKong
14th April 2012 HongKong To Mumbai

They reached Hongkong as per the schedule. But Right before the arrival back to Mumbai we were informed they have cancelled the flight to MUMBAI. We asked for alternate flight but they said they are refunding the money and no alternate flight will be provided. So I booked on AIRLINE : – MALAYSIAN AIRLINES TICKET NO:- 232 2872 096 259/ 258. I had to pay Rs.44000 for one way Ticket due to purchase at the end moment. Now to my shock CLEARTRIP.com is saying Airlines is not issuing refund.

We had to suffer because of KINGFISHER AND CLEARTRIP.com both. Cleartrip.com because they were my travel agents and it was the sole responsibility of the AGENT to help me get my refund or alternate flight.

Please advise me future course of action on KINGFISHER and CLEARTRIP.com

  2. Get a lawyer and approach the district consumer redressal court in Mumbai. This is a clear cut case.

    ONe more question.

    Shd I file case on Cleartrip.com as well as Kingfisher both or it should only be on Kingfisher.

    We regret for the inconvenience caused to you post cancellation of flights by Kingfisher Airlines.

    Post cancellation of flights by the airline, we have to submit a Refund Authorization to the Airline which the Airline has to accept/reject on the basis of its validity.

    In this case, Kingfisher has rejected the Refund Authorization submitted to the Airline and hence, no refund was processed.

    Due to the decision of terminating their International operations, there are few more cases on the same lines pending with the Airline and we are talking to them on priority to get them resolved, however, since, these cases take more than usual time, we would also request you to write to [email protected] with a CC to us.

    We are trying our best to get a closure on this case with an applicable refund, however, only Kingfisher Airlines has the authority to calculate and process the refund.
