Failure to redress complaint

Sir/Madam,

I had written a complaint to Airtel on 04.06.12 regarding the constant bills & payment followup calls that i have been receiving for A/c No. 7005438520 & 7005502354.

I have explained to Airtel executives numerous times that although I had applied for a broadband & landline connection in the month of Dec’11 & had paid INR 500 as advance to their representative (I was informed that my connection would be an unlimited plan for a monthly rental of INR 649), the connection (i.e. A/c No.7005438520)was never installed.

Following my complaint, I was informed by Airtel executive last month that the no. has been disconnected and the matter resolved and closed.

In spite of the same, I’ve again received a bill for the disputed Account No.7005438520 on 06.07.12, followed by call from Airtel’ legal department on 07.07.12. The person on the phone was not willing to listen to me & threatened legal action.

Regarding A/c No. 7005502354 – I got a call from Airtel on 28.06.12 and as discussed and agreed I issued a chq. in favor of Airtel for INR 2130. The executive’ name was Priya who assured me that the line will be restarted within 2/3 working days but the same is yet to be started.
