I called customer care they said its the government rule… Please help.. I had paid for a 200 Sms pack per day… Now i get only 5..?

Not only DoCoMo users even reliance users r going through this problem & when i called them they are unable to provide a reason for this. I also need a reply ma sms plan is also gone in waste n my work is suffering

No this rule is only for selected telecom users such as reliance and docomo coz ma other frnds are using sms sevice wthout ne restriction

I think this is happening oly in Karnataka. Wen i call Vodafone customer care they replied that it wil be lik tis for Nxt 15 days…..

The reason for this is the recent issue of NE people being attacked or something,there were news of spreading rumours through social networking sites and SMSs.Thus this action has been implemented for 15 days. This is sad but we can’t help it.

I dnt dhamu no proper info is been provide to ne1 asked numerous frnds till now but no1 is able to answer it. atleast prior infomartion shud hav been sent so tht no1 gets troubled

The Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India has banned bulk SMSes for 15 days starting today. This follows rumours causing the exodus of the North-East people from other cities.The ban applies throughout the country.Here are the references

However, You will be able to send up to 5 SMS per day via SEND SMS Page during these days. Also, You can continue to enjoy the Way2SMS Service as before the moment Government of India lifts ban on Bulk SMS Services. -

This restriction is as per TRAI guidelines and will be there for coming 15 days (i.e 17 Aug.-1 Sep.’12) , because of the on-going violence in Eastern parts of our country.I got this info from my uncle working in a telecom company as GM, so, hoping that this info is true.
In some parts restrictions have been put on net data usage also.I have docomo connection, nd have the same problem of 5 sms limit..can’t say about other companies.

Well, we can’t say anything about freaking policies of govt. to solve such problem. Instead of tracking the rumours spreaders, they are putting such on restriction on whole the telecom service. 😮

No BSNL will also ban it soon so dont go for it. Just wait for 2 days. After that also If bsnl not banned then u go for it.

Hello All,
Its just a monopoly of the service provider.. The government rules says that one cannot send five BULK sms. Its not applicable for one-to-one sms. I am using two number, reliance have restrict the number of sms to 5 a day, but for vodafone there is no restriction as such. We cannot send 5 bulk sms(sms to more than five at a time) but we according to DoT we can send more than five sms in a day. I dont know where to complain.

These people dont understand simple english. it clearly says five BULK sms. And it should not be one to one. But these people have blocked all and just given 5 sms per day. Which is not at all good. Many people share things only via SMS even for urgencies. Not good Needs to be lifted not a good option….
