Denied purchased of electronic goods on Bajaj Finance Card

Name of company/service: Bajaj Finserv Lending

I had received a Platinum BFL Existing Member Identification card (BFL EMI Card:2030400109606212) when I had initially purchased a flat screen tv for my parents. I was told that I would be having a 75,000 credit limit and that any electronic purchase that I would make I would be able to put it on my BFL Card and put it under EMI and pay it. The first purchase of flatscreen tv was fine and i paid all EMI’s and finshed the payment.

Today I went to a Croma Store in Delhi which has a Bajaj Finserve Lending center. I needed to purchase a digital camera and a smart phone and I needed it urgently and I wanted to put both the purchases on the BFL Card. The BFL agent sitting in the store simply refused the purchase of smart phone stating it is not covered. When I asked why,he did not even give up an answer. I ended up buying nothing on the BFL CARD that the company so proudly had stated would help me any electronice gadget of my choice. It seems they are ignorant that smartphones do come under electronic gadget category or to say consumer durables.

The Chroma Store in question is located in M2K Complex in Rohini Sector -3,New Delhi – 110085

Today they lost a trasaction and my faith with the company as I had to gift it to my wife and she was with me at the time of purchase.

    When I tried to purchase an IFB 7kg washing machine last week, the Bajaj finserv person told me that my loan was declined.

    I had a couple of bounces in my loan account due to personal issues like switching between jobs & hence bank accounts and NEFT delays with my bank RBS.

    While I apologize for the inconvenience caused & am striving to keep it clean ever since the last bounce in Aug 2012, can you please activate my EMI card as I want to avail of your services to buy the washing machine.

    On 3.5.2014, I went to The Mobile Store, Hiland Park, Metropolis Mall, Garia to purchase a samsung mobile hand set worth Rs. 22500. I preferred Bajaj finance EMI option to buy the product as I am existing customer of Bajaj Finance (BF) with loan id 4100CD01385490.
    The dealing person filled the application form and I received sms from BF stating that finance request no. SF14357288 has been approved. The dealing person told that another sms with “PIN NO.” will come to my mobile but that sms was not received by me. I waited for PIN No. sms for 2 hrs at the store, after that dealing person informed that due to some unknown reason they are not able to process the application so I was not able to buy the product. I have not paid anything to the store.
    I dont know what to do because loan status is showing it is approved but I have not purchased anything.

    The card has been received on 5/03/2014 and the card deactivation msg has came on 1/03/2014 , there is no point in sending the blocked card which i can not use., if company don’t want me to use the card you should have not sent it either.

    I have made several request to wecare and gravience department but still no action has been taken for activating the emi card.

    Today i had called to customer care and they asked me to write request for cibil update and EMI card activation.

    Bajaj EMI card is only meant to buy consumer durables or life style product. Such as Electronics and household appliances

    If someone want to buy Laptop or smartphone they have to visit respective brand store, and if brand store accept EMI card than its possible to purchase laptop or mobile phone.

    Automobile dealer doesn’t accept EMI card , instead they offer you auto loan which is much cheaper than EMI card.

    There is nothing such as 0% interest rate. “When a person buys a TV set for Rs 60,000 and makes full payment in cash, the dealer gives him a discount say of Rs 5,000. However, when the same TV is bought in instalments with a credit card, he is not entitled to any discount which is the earning for the bank.”

    So ultimately, it all came down to false advertising and clever marketing. The consumer was led to believe that he/she was getting a fantastic deal whereas the company was earning way more than they would in case of a down payment. These schemes helped companies attain double digit growth as far sales were concerned.

    Dont fall pray to EMI option tough it is convenient. Save some money and get the product.

    I had a couple of bounces in my loan account due to personal issues like switching between jobs & hence bank accounts and NEFT delays with my bank RBS.

    Dear Bajaj finserv, i am a very old customer with multiple loan accounts with regular payments and huge EMI’s ,never missed any payment, but now i am struggling to manage my finances as my wife is not well and had to leave the job , so i am the only earner now , Please advise if its possible for me to club all my consumer loans into one single emi for 24 months and pay off. currently i have 6 consumer loan running with bajaj with different emi amount which is making upto approx 20,000 rs per month.     Yesterday on 3rd of Sep, 2014, I have paid all remaining installments using fore closure option in my experia account and I received transaction receipt too, however when I download loan account statement, closing of loans were not being updated in the statement and showing still your active loans are 2.
    I have tried calling you so many times since yesterday to 18002094151 however, It is not being connected to one of your customer care executives, sorry to say ( Bajaj finserv is poor in serving consumers even we called you during your working hours no one there to assist.)

    Hi, I have Bjaja Finance EMI card. I went to Apple store situated at Chd Sec 35, cuz i wanted to buy An apple iphone 6, 64GB. But first the guy at the store asked me for cancelled cheque which i didnot have that time. And wen i arranged for my cheque, he again told me that you need to produce local account cheque, as SBI cheque of Himachal Branch could not be accepted. Ijust wanted to confirm what other documents do I need to arrange for buying a product with the EMI card.

    I had taken a mobile through ur finance company and paid all dues on time. I even recd a emi card. On the welcome letter and in the kit you have mentioned that bajaj emi card works on emibazar.com. even thr homepage of emibazar.com states that bajaj finserve is their finance partner but none of the products on emi bazar accept payments through bajaj emi card. Also u have mentioned that the purchase will be devided in equal instalments but the store named croma which is on solapur road in pune refuses to swipe the emi card and asked me to do the finance through normal procedure. so please let me know where the swipe and buy facility is available. cuz none of your retailer’s have the swipe facility. also there is no option of online shopping inspite of you mentioning tie up with emibazar.com
