Denial of Warranty Terms

Name of company/service: SAMSUNG/AMRUTH ENTERPRISES

Respected Sir,

I had brought a samsung digital camera Model-ES55 from Camshop, MG Road Ernakulam on 20.11.2009 with 2+1 years’ extended warranty. The warranty card shows 2 years warranty – one year extended warranty for digital cameras. The same went out of order one month back and I visited the Samsung authorised service centre, Amruth Enterprises, SA Road, Vytilla on 4/6/12 and they refused to take product of the reason that they are going to close down the service centre on 26.06.12. On my repeated request as the product is on warranty, they took the camera for repair and given the job order card under clear warranty. After completing the job, they informed that I should collect the product by paying Rs. 666/- (Rs. 449.44 Service charge + Rs. 216.30 spare parts). I contacted the smsung help, but was of no use. Finally I took delivery of the product by paying Rs. 616/- in cash on 19.06.12.

I beg your goodself to take appropriate action against the erring company Samsung/Amruth Enterprises, Authorised service centre of samsung products.
