My Laptop of Dell company was working slowly and fan was not functioning properly .Due to this problem, laptop was getting heated slightly from bottom. When I submitted my laptop at Dell laptop service centre at Shop No 20, Santoshi Mata Co-Operative Housing Society Ltd, Dr.D.B.Marg, Mumbai Central East, Mumbai – 400008 (Landmark: Below Reliance Super Market )on 26-07-2012 they charged me 1364Rs for checkup ,Laptop was in proper working condition. During submission of laptop ,as per my discussion with dell service centre engineer ,the info which he gave me, that there are two system related issues. First one , they need to check the fan as heat was not passing properly and second isssue ,need to check operating system. That time they told me that they will give me call once issue is identified along with quotation.But after doing several follow-up on phone they didn’t reply me anything.On 1st of August,2012, I called them again when they told me that repair cost charges will be Rs 4999 and they asked me to submit that amount when I personally reached their service centre, they told me cost is Rs 14999.I was really shocked. when I asked them to return my laptop, the condition of my laptop was very bad .My laptop was not working at all and even was not starting (which means now I have to forcefully repair my laptop at higher cost because of their carelesness)when i went to Nagpada police station Mumbai,and took help from them and we went back again to service center with one constable that time service centre guy told me that during laptop checkup, due to heat issue, motherboard got damaged and now laptop won’t start at all unless and until I am not repairing laptop from them I refused to accept that offer and told them that i will go to consumer forum ,they told me that they are list bothered on my action and told me to lodge a complaint at their Banglore offcie and at consumer forum .After couple of hours ,service center called me again and informed me that the laptop is in temporary working condition and they do know when next time it will work and further told me to collect my laptop .
Because of their carelessness,my laptop got damaged and because of that why should I suffer monetarily loss and I want proper justice and compensation for whatever I faced mentally and physical torture and harassment.
