Defective product and Poor service

Location/place: Noida

Name of company/service: Hitachi

I bought 2 ACs (1 window & 1 split) of Hitachi on 4th March 2012 from Ace Technomark, Noida. When the installation person came to install the ACs and give a demo, both the ACs had a problem. The swing kit / board of the window AC was replaced and the air blower of the split AC was repaired.

We started using the ACs in May 2012 regularly. After some time the window AC stopped working due to some issue. It was not even getting switced on. I launched a complaint for the same on 4th June 2012. After 3 days the service people came and changed something to make the AC work.

But after 15 days, same thing happened and the AC again stopped working on 18th June 2012. It has been 3 days today and still no person has turned up from the Co. I sincerely believe that the product is having some major issues and is defective otherwise it doesn’t need repairs 3 times within 2 months.

When I spoke to the Co. representative Mr. Rohit Kaul (service manager) to replace the product as it is defective, he simply said that replacement cannot happen at all but they will get the issue resolved.

Now that the product is under warranty so its getting serviced free of cost but I sincerely believe that after one year when the warranty get over, it will become a huge burden when a new product is having so much issues.
