I purchased an A.C unit PANASONIC CU-YC 12NKY – 1.00 TON SPLIT AC. on 6.6.2012. from Great Eastern Appliances Pvt. Ltd. 20 Old court House Street. Kolkata -700001 vide Cash Memo No. DH/CM/04582/12-13.
I got the delivery on 10th June.
I registered a service request with Panasonic on 12.06.2012 for product installation. Service request number was PI – ASC – 1206 – 042220.
Company’s Authorised service centre SONA AIRCON 16, J.N. Mukherjee Road, Salkia, Howrah -711106 sent mechanic and installed it on 14.6.2012 evening (Cash Memo No.1221). They didn’t check and run the AC. Hence their installation was incomplete. Later when I started the AC at night I found that it is running but not cooling. Then I was surprised to found that the outdoor unit is defective and its fan is not moving. So it is clearly a manufacturing defect.
I contacted the dealer Great Eastern Appliances and talked with my sales person Mimi (9038483779). She said the outdoor unit will be replaced and I got a replacement on 16.6.2012.
Then I again called the service center (Sona Aircon mob.9674724535). Now he is unnecessarily harassing me and not sending mechanic to replace the defective unit and fit the new one. And the person is so adamant that he challenged me to do whatever I can. Not only that he challenged me to go to consumer forum and he will see what consumer forum can do against him.
I bought the AC for my emergency need and I have waited for long 11 days and still it is not properly installed. I have suffered a lot, I can’t wait any longer.
I urge you to take stern and stringent action.
