decline of new connection

So, I requested for a new airtel pospaid connection, the executive called me and said that they will provide me the new connection at doorstep within 24 hrs , i was greatful to them , but 48 hrs passed they didnot turn up or visit my house for new connection. So, today(06-07-2018) one of their executive called me and he promised me that by 24 hrs a new postpaid connection would be provided to me for free of cost and this service is also a doorstep free service. So, as promised a executive called me sorry did not call, he/she gave two missed calls , the truecaller pops up with a message that the call was from airtel, then i checked the number yes it was the same number Airtel has messaged me ( the message reads -Order Placed: Your airtel sim will be delivered by sanjib mukherjee 99033*****. Congrats we have waived off your activation free) . So, i called that missed call number , he/she accept the call first he asked my basic details, i obediently answered his question, after that he said that what i want to do ; convert prepaid to postpaid or take new , i said covert it, he said that why are you doing this now you are paying for 3 months and later you have to pay for 1 month , i said it is my problem not yours , then he said that there are two packages we have one for 1 month and another for 3 months , i said i will have the second one, he said no he cant provide as he thinks that i will not pay, and he was speaking very rudely. Within few second a sms came stated that sorry to hear that you denied new postpaid connection, for future inqueries contact airtel. So, i called that person again , now he asked about my job, i said i am doing a government job , he asked me to whatsapp him my aadhar card and job identity card, i said i will do it later as because airtel did not told me to whatsapp my aadhar card or my id card , he suddenly raise his voice and said that he cant provide me the new connection as i am lying. Not only this he also added that my identity is fake , i am not a government employee.
I dont know whether Airtel executive knows magic or not. So my question is If you didnot want me or others to upgrade to postpaid tell them at the begining , why you are then giving hopes or what is purpose of making a postpaid connection when you are not giving them. Despite being a government employee you are saying that i am faking you and you will not give me a new connection, if you need proof i can provide you that i am a government employee. I use Airtel for more than 6 years . I am sorry to say that your service is becoming worse day by day, other sevice provider are far better than you atleast they obey their words and didnot harrese their customers.
