I, Anirban Sarkar, hereby state that on 28/11/2012 at 10:30 AM, I purchased an USB Data Stick (Model: K 3770; IMEI: 911133704120648), and applied for a post paid 3G SIM (applied no:9830385622) for a very urgent need from Vodafone Service Centre (5P, MG Road, Howarh Maidan 711101, Howrah Maidan Branch, Dalmia Park Complex) after I was promised that I will be able to surf internet within 2 hours (i.e. within 12:30 PM) and an employer named Dipankar put that SIM into USB data Stick.
But even after 29 hours it was not activated. In the mean time I Phoned to Dipankar for 30-40 times, but only for 2 times he responded and said the SIM will be activated shortly.
At 3:30 PM, I went to that shop and refused to take the Data Stick due to late activation of SIM and requested to refund the purchased value (Rs. 999/=).
They initially agreed but 2 Hours later i.e. at 5:30 PM denied to refund and told me to come further on 3/12/12 to take the refund. But even on 3/12/12 they refused again to refund the money.
An employee named Tanmoy (he introduced himself as “in charge” of that store) very rude and no hospitality to the customer. Also he is a great liar. Initially other staffs agreed to refund and send me to cash counter to take refund but only he was refused to do as I protested against his behavior.
In this regard I would request you to take the necessary action so that I can get refund of my purchased value.
I would like to inform you that now I am not interested about the SIM due to late activation. You please take necessary steps so that Vodafone don’t send any Postpaid bill in this connection.
