COMPLAINT AGAINST STAR HEALTH & ALLIED INSURANCE COMPANY FOR NON PAYMENT OF MEDICAL BILL

Respected sir,

I purchased a mediclaim policy ( family health optima insurance plan ) from star health & allied insurance company limited on 13/10/2010 for my family .

Its policy NO – P/171213/01/2011/007106

Valid from 13/10/2010 to mid night 12/10/2011

Details of complaint

My daughter miss Namrata B shukla got ill on 07/10/2011 due to cold , cough, fever and body pain so she took treatment from surya hospital vapi as OPD patient but on 09/10/2011 at 10.30 pm she became serious so I ran away with my daughter to the hospital Jeevan deep hospital nearer to my home.there doctors diagnosised it as extra pyramidal syndrome and advised me to hospitalized. So I hospitalized to her there from 09/10/2011 11.10 pm to 11/10/2011 05.50 pm.After hospitalizing her at 11.10 pm I informed to Mr Mahesh Rathod Development officer immediately by sms and by phone at morning on 10/10/2011 which he forwarded to office on 10/10/2011.And also as per STAR HEALTH office claim rejection paper shows that they received my complain with in 24 hrs from hospitalization.

During treatment total expenditure was 7504/ and I claimed it for reimbursement on 16/10/2011 but they rejected my claim on 13/12/2011 saying that there was not need to hospitalized it could be treated as OPD only.

Demand

sir, my above complaint is genuine so I should get complete expenditure as reimbursement with the compensation as harrasement of Rs 5000/.
NOTE- On demand I may submit all the documents which are neccessory to proove that my case is genuine.

At last I hope that I will get justice soon from your end.

    Respected Sir,
    You must present your complaints to IRDA (Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority) or Ombudsman. You may find the authorised Insurance Ombudsman details from any leaflet or any papers like welcome letter provided to you by Insurance company. You must present your complain and you may get a solution within 30 days. If this thing do not works than you must consult a Consumer Court where you can fight for without any need of advocate.

  2. Claim rejected , want to file a criminal case against the company and the agent

  3. I would request to move to consumer court.u need of lawyer and you can represent your case yourself also.

SIR, I HAVE PURCHASED RED CARPET HEALTH POLICY( ONLY FOR SENIOR CITIZEN POLICY) FROM STAR HEALTH CARE AS PER AGENT EVERY DIESEAS INCLUDE IN THESES POLICY UNFORTUNATLEY MY FATHER WAS FALL AT HOME FOR THE SAME WE WENT TO JEEWAN MALA HOSPITAL DELHI FOR THE SAME WE HAVE SHOWN THE MEDICAL CARD BUT CARED HAS BEEN REJECTED AS PER STAR HEALTH U CAN GO FOR MEDICAL REIUMBERMESEMENT BUT WHEN WE HAVE DEPOSITED EVERY DOCUMENTS WHICH I HAVE GOT FROM HOSPITAL BUT MY CLAIM HAS BEEN REJECTED AS PER COMPANY THAT MY FATHER WAS SUFFERING FROM LUNG DISEASE SO WE CAN” CLAIM FOR THE SAME I RAISED QUERIES THROUGH BY MAIL WHICH IS AS FOLLOWS:Dear sir,
    This is bring to your kind notice that my father was not suffering from ILd ( words which Ur using) my query is as follows:
    1. How you can say that My father was suffering from ILd – Do u have any proof.( Medical documentation)?
    2. Company is not liable to make any payments – sentences which Ur using at that time purchasing of your products agent was not discuss with us ( hidden Claus) plz provide me contract paper which is signed by me ?
    3. What is the us of Red Carpet policy( only for seniors citizen) -why do you have launched theses products in written there is no need for medical examination for seniors.( If medical has not been done by company ) & where is written you can’t settlement in any claim within a year

    I would like to say at that time purchasing of your products Ur company accepts everything because means you want to sell your products because Ur a business man wat abut buyer ?

    If my claim has not been settled with a one week I will take help from social media , Newspaper, Google,& legal action against star health.

    Star health has so many hidden T&C which are not mentioned by agent. It has been observed that star health has a tendency to reject call. this is a fraud company. better advised to go for Public sector company like national, united, etc where your grievance will be considered if TPA go to wrong
