I had purchased a cross trainer from the HSR Layout, Bangalore showroom of Hercules Sports International on 19th July for Rs. 19000. A cross trainer BY DEFINITION burns more calories in a shorter duration and hence gives a more effective workout. However, the cross trainer we bought shows that the amount of calories is the same when working out at the same speed on a exer cycler for the same duration. Also, the display on the machine shows a cycle icon during the work out. Our strong suspicion is that the machine has been fitted with the display of a exer-cycle. We have spoken to the customer care and the technicians umpteen number of times and they have no clue why the calorie expenditure is low. I have spent quite a bit of money on this and am extremely disappointed with the machine and even more by the fact that there is no proper response from the company
