Case History
I got a call from Click2Resume(http://www.click2resume.com/) the content of the executive was:-“Your CV has been shortlisted for Blue star, Videocon etc. with a salary hike of 15%. All you need to pay an amount of 2588/- towards the processing charge and you would have to clear the interviews within coming 3 days for getting the job for the same organization”. I tried to clear “See I am looking for jobs only in Odisha” That executive Mr. Vimal again said “Yes madam in Odisha only you will be posted. You worked in the retail division and those organizations are having requirement for the same”. I said “All right let me go through your website and I will confirm you tomorrow” .
When I visited the website (http://www.click2resume.com/) all I could find is about the various chargeable resume services. The very next day when the executive called for the confirmation for payment I asked him to clear me if my payment is towards any resume service or as a job processing /consulting fees. I executive Mr.Vimal knowingly misguided me by saying the payment is towards processing fees only. I continuously repeated my words that I am not requiring any resume service and I could only pay the sum if only it’s a processing fees and he kept on misguiding me.
The very next day I did a payment for Rs 2588/-considering it to be a processing fee which generally all consultancies charges for arranging the interview. I couldn’t have guessed till than that I have been trapped by a renowned placement support agency who are wrongly encasing their brand name by intentional cheating the people like me. The moment I paid Rs 2588/- they said its mandatory to pay another sum of Rs 3297/- immediately for document verification otherwise my payment of 2598/- will be invalid. I was shocked with this cheap tricks to demand more and more money and I denied to pay but then the executive Nitin explained me that without this verification part how could the organizations is going to process my profile and the verification part is to be done by some branded MNC having expertise in this field and it would add a lot value to my profile. He convinced me finally and told me “Mam you do one thing, you pay a sum of Rs 1797/- now and the rest you could pay after attending interviews” .I agreed and the next day I paid Rs 1797/-. Within a couple of hours I got another call from Click2resume, Mr. Gaurav on a rude voice asked me “Whats your problem? Why did not you do the full payment of Rs 3297/-“ I felt bad still I replied “I had a discussion with Mr.Nitin and he suggested me to do so” He yelled on me and said “we can’t entertain any partial payment .My senior will be calling you regarding this.” Then at least 3 to 4 employees called me and tried to convince me in different tone to pay the next Rs 1500/- but I didn’t agree. And this time I raise my tone and told them regarding my dissatisfaction. However as per requirement I scanned and mailed my documents to [email protected] and resume to [email protected]
Then after 3 days another executive called and she said you have opted for the following services:-
1.Resume modification
2.Creation Of linked in profile
I was shocked because I did not want any of them and I cleared before payment that I am paying towards the processing fees only.
Just a few days after I received another call from the same source that you need to pay the rest Rs 1500/- otherwise your documents won’t be verified. And all the money you have paid will go in vein. I was very upset with myself for wasting so much money in this fraud agency but still as my last believe I decided to pay the last installment (as they told me this will be the final payment 4 attending interview) and will wait & watch how they are assisting me in getting a good job.
But still their game plan was not over they again told me that I need to pay around Rs 4000/- after I get selected in an industry and I agreed that when I get my offer letter I will pay Rs 4000/-.Just after 2 days when I paid Rs 1500/- again another executive called me that I need to pay Rs3775/- if I want my resume to be forwarded. I denied in anger and said I am not going to entertain any of their money grabbing policies anymore. The executive told me that if you are not paying the sum of 3775/- then you can’t avail the facility of attending interviews. I uttered in anger “that’s enough. I can’t tolerate this nonsense any more”.
How Click2resume(referred as they) fooled me:-
1=) They collected my resume from Naukri.com and I anticipate Naukri.com circulate our resumes only for reliable use. But how cheap of Naukri.com to gain business profit they easily give away my contact details to such rubbish agencies(without testing their credential) who intentionally cheat us.
2=)They say to rely on their words as their calls are being recorded.
3=)During payment they knowingly make the process induced by an executive who being on call just dictates down click to this option then to that rapidly on online system and if you ask something in between like “what’s facilities do will I get by clicking on this option ?” he will cleverly misguide you.
