Charged for travelling without ticket

Location/place: Mumbai

Name of company/service: Indian Railway

Dear sir,
My traveling details as follows,
PNR: 8558611713
Train No: 19260
Date of Journey: 12-8-12
I have booked tatkal ticket from IRCTC site. Due to some reason I can not present the ID which is registered while booking the ticket. Instead I have presented another four ID proofs which includes Passport, Bombay Port Entry Pass, JNPT Port Entry Pass (Both passes are approved by CISF & Port Authority), Company Employee ID. Till I have been fined by railway & charged for traveling without ticket. The rule is to ensure that the same passenger is traveling for which the ticket is booked. Which I have proven in my case. Without understanding the basic idea behind the rule the railway authority fined me, which is unfair. The rule is to protect the customer and not to bother the customer. Kindly do the needful.

  1. mere bhai,

Railways has rules but the people operating it doesnt follow the rules. They only know the rule of “TAKING MONEY IN THEIR POCKET”..!! I too was charged for the same issue & main thing, i bargained and saved Rs 200 and paid Rs 700. Now tell me ki if they follow rules than why they charged Rs 200 less from me when i bargained. hahahaa…!!

Are railway k log paisa khaate hai and not to railways. Simple.
