I am a salaried person working with 108 Emergency Service in Punjab. I have been duped of 3 lacs which is a very big amount for a salaried person.
I bought a used Tata Indigo Manza Reg No PB10 CW 7251 from Modern Car Point, SCO 22, Sec 7-C, Madhya Marg, Chandigarh in the month of April 2012 from a Sunday Car Bazaar with an initial booking of Rs. 20,000/-. Later he asked for 3,00,000/- rupees for handover of car papers which we required for processing of loan. We paid him 2,80,000/- more(which we had to borrowed from relatives as he was not giving us the papers for processing of loan without this amount) and he gave us a laminated colored photocopy of the RC (Forged as that was different from the original RC) which was caught by the bank. Our credibility with our bank was badly affected due to submission of duplicate papers.
When we told him that we are going to lodge a complaint in Police regarding the same then he acted innocent and produced original RC which was hypothecated with Kotak Mahindra Bank under a corporate loan. Even after 2 months of paying 3 lacs he neither gave us Bank NOC nor the possession of the car. Then after putting more pressure he gave us the possession of the car which was of no use to us as the Insurance was expired and we could not run the car without insurance.
We repeatedly requested him to provide us the required documents but till date neither he has returned us our money nor given any papers.
We have both the RC’s with us as the proof of fraud.
We request you to kindly take strict action against the dealer and help us in recovering our money.
