I RUPAK DAS ON BEHALF OF MY FAMILY MEMBERS IS HEREBY LIKED TO LODGE A COMPLAINT AGAINGT ONE OF HINDUSTAN UNILEVER’S PRODUCT, “PURE IT” WATER FILTER.WE HAVE PURCHASED A GERMKILL BATTERY KIT FROM THE COMPANY ON 14.7.2011 WORTH RS. 550, VIDE DEVICE SERIAL NO. “GB5L 203”.IT HAS BEEN CLAIMED BY THE COMPANY THAT THIS KIT HAS THE CAPACITY TO PURE 2250 LITRES OF WATER.BUT AFTER 2.5 MONTHS WE FOUND THAT THE KIT HAS TURNED RED IN COLOUR INDICATING THAT IT WILL BE NO LONGER IN USE .BUT OUR DAILY WATER CONSUMPTION IS 15 LTRS. ON AN AVERAGE. SO AS PER CALCULATIONS IT WILL LASTS FOR (2250/15) DAYS, i.e, 150 DAYS OR 5 MONTHS.SO WE HAD LODGED A COMPLAIN IN “PURE IT CUSTOMER CARE” VIDE CUSTOMER ID 1930447093 & COMPLAIN NO. 3113766362. BUT THEY REPLIED THAT WE HAVE TO REPLACE IT & NOTHING CAN BE DONE. SO, ATLAST WE HAVE BEEN COMPELLED TO LODGE A COMPLAIN IN CONSUMER FORUMS TO TAKE ADEQUATE STEPS AGAINST THE COMPANY AND PENALISE (RS. 1 CRORE) FOR THE LOSS THAT WE HAVE SUFFERED. THANKING YOU
