Blackberry curve 9220

I have purchased a Blackberry curve 9220 on 04 June 2012 from The
Rhythm Electronic (India) From 13 June 2012 however it started giving
problem wherein I was not able to dial any number & the key pad was
behaving erratically. however soon i noticed that it worked properly
automatically but then faced that same issue after 5-6hours
randomly… Then I visited the Iral Service Center (Mumbai – India)
service centre of Blackberry on 14 June & deposited my handset for
repair. They asked me to collect the phone within 10days. Anyway, I
was informed that as water has gone inside, the phone can’t b
repaired. Instead they charged Rs.200 for inspection and said that if
you want repair for handset then you have to pay Rs.500 for it. The
same is a manufacturing defect from Blackberry and also as i have
checked in the consumer forum i have seen many of the individuals
complaining for the same reason and i hope this need to be considered
and provide a resolution for the same to all the consumer facing these
kind of issues. Its very much disappointing to feel such a bad service
from a company like BLACKBERRY… I even spoke to the heads in Chennai
and Bangalore but there also there was no respond

I am surprised that a company like Blackberry maked such inferior
quality product which does not last even for 10 Days & for a device
goes under Liquid Damaged Un-Repairabel Condition and gone un-warranty
they ask for inspection fee.

I would request all other customers to make a note of this & think
twice before making a choice.
