I am an Airtel DTH Customer for more than two years now. My chosen base pack is “South Economy sports pack” which when I opted for had channels like “ESPN, STAR SPORTS and STAR CRICKET” included in the base pack. I have been on this base pack for quite long time now and these channels were available to me ever since I opted for this base pack without me needing to pay anything extra. Now, with the India, England test series commencing today (15th November), I was surprized to realize only yesterday that these channels have been removed from the base pack that I subscribed for and when I contacted the Airtel DTH customer care, I was told that I will have to pay for these channels additionally to subscribe for them and that they are no longer included in the base pack I subscribed for.
This is very unfair in my view and when I expressed the same to customer service executive, the only reply I got was to try registering a complaint with consumer forum
