Dear Sir/Madam,

Today, 16 July 2012, I had visited the showroom at 1 pm, and selected furniture item, which was priced at Rs 29,998/- against original price Rs. 39,998/- . I selected the item and told them to wait for 1 hour to confirm.

In the afternoon, within an hour, I confirmed to him, and said that I shall be collecting the item (cupboard chest) after giving him the full and final settlement.

In the evening, when I went to buy the item, the management informed me that the item was already sold 4-6 months back, and the concerned person had 25% advance money.

It is not understood as to how such an arrangement is being worked out on two Maximum Retail Prices.

Is the person who partially paid an amount of 25%, entitled to the discount after his purchase at the original price? Or in case the item is sold, isn’t the shopkeeper suppose to mention (Already Sold) on item? How is an arrangement been worked out which does not even follow the system of EMI?

It appears to be a case of fictitious MRP.

Whatever it is, it has caused me a lot of humiliation, harassment, financial loss and time.

You are requested to please help us to understand how such unscrupulous deals are being permitted.
