whether Mobile Number Portability is possible from Virgin(gsm prepaid) to Tata Docomo(gsm prepaid)

I want to inform you that I want to port into TATA DOCOMO(prepaid & gsm) from VIRGIN MOBILE(prepaid & gsm) with the mobile no.8981623287.
So I took necessary information in this regard from Docomo customer care executives. As I am not sure about porting in a same network providers so I asked them and they said that it is possible. So I filled up an MNP form on 19/01/13 & submitted with required documents & Rs.19/- and after 3days I again call Docomo customercare executive to know when my mobile no. will be ported into Docomo. He said it will done on 29/01/13 around 01:14pm. But on that day retailer said that my form come back as porting in same network not possible. Since then I have called Tata Docomo customercare for numerous times & every time they are giving different answers(sometimes yes, sometimes no). One of them advised me to go to nearest Tata Docomo Outlet(i.e. City Centre,salt Lake,sector-I ). So I have gone there and waited for 45 minutes and then I have got answer from them “We don’t know”. So I want the real answer from Nodal Officer of docomo.
