VODAFONE’s False Charges For Using Internet

My name is Akhileshver Pratap Singh( Mobile no. 9670157605). Recently I bought the android phone and charged my phone with data pack of 500 MB(3G)(On 21-08-2014). In 3 days it’s all consumed up(On 23-07-2014) . I learned from the mistake and then make OFF the mobile data in the Data Usage settings as I can access the WI-FI internet in my office in office time. Despite that from 23-07-2014 to 04-08-2014 I am being charged continuously.
The message says “Session Date04-08.2014,Session Cost:0.04INR,Consumed Volume:0.000MB,Current Balance:83.14INR,Dial*121# for internet Packs.”
My balance was 126 and now it is 83.14 INR.I talked to Vodafone customer care but they replied that I must be using some application. Maybe but if mobile data is off it should not open it(If Wi-fi is not available) and if I am using Wi-Fi connection that they should not charge me. Even if I am on the wrong side they should explain me my fault.

  1. I have the same complaint. I have disabled 2G data since I use wifi only but 0.04 INR is constantly deducted when some of my apps just try to check if data connection is available or not. Usaage is always shown as 0.000 MB. Why charge for no usage then?

    hi, i had the same problem, but what i did is went to SETTINGS in your android phone, SETTINGS-MOBILE DATA-ACCESS POINT NAMES-RESET TO DEFAULT & its done…

    I am also experiencing the same problem. Not sure what is happening. Every few hours they deduce 0.04!

    And I thought I am alone with this issue, Google it even some UK customer complain that vodafone charge 0.04 to them in same way. They are cheat !!!

  9. Seens 5month I was facing the same problem, I tried everything to stop this type of cheating, finally I found the solution of this problem. Recently I updated my OS (operating system) of my phone from KitKat to lollipop. Now from one week I m free from this problem. …… I m not sure but wasting 10₹ everyday is stupidity, so friends try to update our OS and let me know it is helpful or not.     Guys try sending a message saying ‘STOP’ to 1925. It may help.

  11. This is actually PayG service. Please send message “STOP” to 1925. You will get PayG service deactivation message.

    Even iam facing the same issue from past 2 months ..

    try to contact customer care , and they are si dumb no use
    even i hv sms several times Stop -1925…no use

  14. I am facing the same problem of deduction of Rs.0.04 INR every now and then every day even after talking with customer care on 198 & sending emails. Request for stopping of that unwanted deduction. Jharna Sarkar mob-9804674193
