Undelivered Package, Asked to Pay more for the same Package

Dear All,

I am Posting a recent CHAT Conversation with one of the AMAZON’s Customer Representative. Please read it carefully and decide for yourself whether AMAZON (An American Company) is worth giving a try for online Shopping.

Two times I contacted AMAZON through CHAT on
14th Oct 2014 and 16th Oct 2014
Each time I was assured of the delivery of my package.
On 16th Oct 2014, I was told that the Customer Service Representation will get in touch with me after the delivery of my Package.
Today is 20th Oct 2014 (4 days after my last Chat Conversation).
Hello, where is my package?
Will you be able to deliver it in MY LIFE TIME. SHALL I WAIT.
SHALL I HAVE PATIENCE WITH YOUR PATHETIC SERVICE.
WHAT SHOULD I DO.

I am sorry for the inconvenience that was cause to you.

Me:Every time I get a new customer represetative to chat

Amazon:May I have your order number please?

Me:every time the same message sorry for inconvenience

Me:any updates…

Amazon:Please hold on second Banerjee, while I check with my resources.
Me:fine enough

Amazon:Thank you for being on hold banerjee.
I have checked the status of your order and it was still in Maharashtra from 10th Ocober.

Me:which is very surprising.

Amazon:So you can cancel this order and place a new order in one-day delivery option. So that you will get your product in one day. Simultaneously I will inform the concern courier to return the old product.

Me:What about the price of the new package? Will I get the same discount? Please clarify

Amazon:Sure please wait. Let me check with that for you.

Me:when the package has been handed over to the courier by the sender what is the problem in delivery?

Amazon:I am not sure about that Banerjee. We cannot predict the product while it is in transit.
I am sorry Banerjee, the available cost for that product is Rs.220.
Are we connected?

Me:so there is no option, other than to cancel my previous order and carry on with new order. Further, what is the Surety that the new order will be delivered? By the way AMAZON is handling the things, you might say cancel this order also
and get the product in 300 Rs. next time

Amazon:No. You may get your old product but you should wait for 24-48 hours for the transportation authority to contact you

Me:I am done with AMAZON, and I will use my 17 and half years of experience in Teaching Industry to influence MASSES not to purchase from AMAZON (AN AMERICAN COMPANY) and instead go for some INDIAN COMPANY (FLIPKART or the likes). BEING AN INDIAN I SHOULD PROMOTE AN INDIAN COMPANY> YOU HAVE FORCED ME TO THINK THAT WAY.
Thanks anyways, I am DONE WITH AMAZON. GOODBYE.

Note: Further, in recent festive times, some customers ordered electronics items from AMAZON, when they received the item and due to some defect when they contacted the concerned Organisation, they were shocked to find out that the items they purchased from AMAZON does not include the WARRANTY. While the same item purchased from FLIPKART was including the WARRANTY and hence the PRICE at FLIPKART was Slightly higher than that at AMAZON.

So Think Wisely, Choose Wisely, and Shop Wisely
