Missold of policy by giving loan offer

Name of company/service: HDFC Standard Life

I had received a call from HDFC Bank Karol Bagh, Delhi by an executive named ANNU (Ph. No. – 09136696514). She told me that they will provide special loan against a policy of 5%of loan amount in the interest rate of 8.5%.
I was requiring a loan of 10lakh thus I gave amount of 50,000/- for policy. The executive from HDFC Life named PRITAM HERKAL came to receive the required document for policy as well as a cheque of 50,000/- as policy amount from me.
After that they dispatched all documents submitted for policy to HDFC Bank executive. On 2nd March,2013 I received my policy papers (Policy No.-15861041).
The executive from HDFC Bank told me that after receiving the policy paper they will process my loan application and I will receive my loan amount on 5th April,2013.
They told me that on 2nd or 3rd April I will be receiving a confirmation call from them and then only they will send me the loan document and reference number of loan.
On 4th April,2013 evening I received a confirmation call from HDFC Bank saying that my loan is rejected but didn’t stated the reason behind the rejection.
But after calling again and again to the HDFC Bank executive she told me that I will be receiving my 50,000/- policy amount after 40 days without any deduction and with 9.5% of interest rate which is approximately 67,800/- as told by them.
Also on 6th April I received a call from HDFC life, they told me that they have received the cancellation letter of policy. And they will provide me policy amount with 9.5% interest.
On 8th April I tried to track the policy through customer care, but they told me that this is a fraud done to me and no such policy has been cancelled.
After that I registered complaint in HDFC Standard Life as well as IRDA but they did not provide me any positive response.
Even I have all the recorded calls of the executive who told me about the loan.
But no one is considering those recordings as an evidence.
So kindly resolve the issue and return the policy amount with interest to me .

    Hi,
    I also received call from HDFC standard Life +91 9011047791 executive RIYA
    they offered homeloan flat rate @8.5% for 10 year.
    also asking 1 lakh rupees for policy, she told me this 1 lake rupees you can convert letter as installment

    I got the call from delhi HDFC Life Insurance mentioning the same details
    from No. +91 9210380113 and 011 64659165, asked me for 1Lac rupee of policy so that they can provide me a home loan of 20Lac.

    Hi,

    Similar thing has happened to me. They offered Rs. 5 Lacs loan against 7ears HDFC standard life’s policy if I pay Rs.50,000 per year. I accepted the offer as I was in need of loan. After completing the policy procedure when I called them back they started rejecting my calls.

    Here the scenario was little different that is the last call that I got from fraud callers said me that I will get verification call from HDFC and in the response to HDFC verification I have had to say that “I am not taking this policy against any offer”. After that I got call for my policy verification from HDFC standard life. Here the verification phone number was the same that was used by fraud callers……!
    As the number was same I got confidence that the offered loan could be correct, so I said the way I was instructed.

    Ultimately I didn’t get any loan against my policy and I realized that it was fraud offer. I reported the same issue to HDFC Standard Life in written for two times but they replied to me with printed standard response that was not in my favor.

    I didn’t get my money back.

    Now I am planning to file FIR against fraud callers and get them into jail. Also, get the entire team arrested who are working in this racket for doing scams. Entire team is responsible for this.

    I believe that the fraud caller is an employee of HDFC Standard Life Insurance or working for them. Once I prove this; both fraud callers and HDFC Standard Life Insurance is going to pay for this fraud schemes.

    I HAVE ALL PHONE CALL RECORDINGS with DATE AND TIME
    (Phone company will also prove that I got that calls if I lodge FIR against fraud callers)

    If you are also victim of such frauds, please contact to me at +91 9426374290. We all together will issue PIL against such fraud rackets; and not just get our money back but also we will save other people from such frauds.

    3 months back I got a call from hdfc bank regarding a loan offer against policy.
    My situation is same as others.
    I was planning to go for my higher studies and needed 20l for that.
    They told me top do two policies of 10l each.
    My father did one policy and we told to process one single policy but they said that they have taken permission for two policy only.
    they kept on insisting but I said I will do only one policy.

    The whole policy business took around 0 days and we got the paper it was very swift.

    But after that there was no follow up for loans.
    And it is still stuck.

    Now they never take my calls. I have called from different numbers but they say they are in a meeting and keep the call down.
    Its just one month remaining before my session begins and they wasted my time and now I have only one month to get my visa done and get my loan approved from some place else.

    I am very frustated and sleepless.
    I feel crazy while calling them all the time.
    I have no other option.
    I messaged them to cancel the policy but no response came.

    I too want to register a police complain against them.

    Same call to me from hdfc bank regarding loan for those who need intimidate investigation can get in touch today now on these no 8860803787 and 7065573784 both are Delhi number they demanded 25000/- for the policy after will sanction my loan amount i got clue something is really blacklist here thanks & catch these theif.

    Hi.. Today I got called from them.. and told same thing what I read above.. That means till date they work and nobudy take action against them.. I am also getting same call and asking for Loan against 10% amount before sanctioned, they told me that they will provide me loan against policy and after three month the 10% amount will be refunded. Intereste rate will be 8.5%. I think HDFC empolyee provide all details to them for asking needy loan holders. The call comming from Delhi and number will be 7065829102 and 08459701664 named as sonal and Arpita I think this is fake. Thanks to all above to know more… Please be careful for dealing and check out from Bank first about the offering and such schemes. I will check and take necessary action with them or file FIR. We all educated but i really bad about those are suffering all this scam.. need to help others to be aware.. Need any help for above i will be their….

    Thanks for sharing your experience, today i also got such a call(+91 91-36-178409) providing a loan of 2 to 10 lakh rupees at the rate of 5% if i take HDFC life insurance. Had i not read this I would have gone for it, really pathetic HDFC must do something about it.

    Today 07 december i received call to Mahindra finanace by Arohi Gulta 011 3014 8478 she offered loan against policy …she told you give a policy 01 lakh then after provide a loan against policy ….

    I also got call from 2 ladies saying calling from HDFC loan department, Delhi and loan will be 8.5% and you need to take a policy for guarantee.. There mobile numbers – 08929026399 and 09999139540

    Hi,
    On 17jan 20 got call from a person saying He is from citi bank and offering loan against policy of Bharti axa life insurance company Ltd
    Plan name-elite advantage plan
    And also another policy of India first life insurance.
    Executive name(Vijay Mehta – +91 76694 69179)
    In true caller the number is registered as Vijay Mehta citi bank.
    He informed me that I’m eligiable for loan Upto 15lac with zero interest and repay time for 15 yrs.

    I was at the edge of making payment as the offer was mouth watering ,but just before making the payment I thought doing google and search is there really in such plan available in markets. I was shocked to know that such kind of call are fraud call and they will make you pay the payment for policy and they will get there commission and there is no such loan against policy by Citibank.
    When I didn’t make the payment He called me then I asked him can you share any documents mentioned agreement between Citibank and Bharti axa on such scheme or send me your employe ID card so that the verify with citi bank.
    He said he can’t provide any of this.

    So don’t get trapped by such calls. They are fraud calls.
