Mis-selling

Hi,

I would like to note my deep dissatisfaction with Airtel customer service. I have bought Whatsapp Pack assuming that no other charges will be levied (upto 200 MB). However I found that balance was reducing. On checking with Airtel customer service, it was mentioned that pack was only for text data and any other content would be charged additionally. This is a clear case of mis-selling since nowhere this was mentioned during the purchase process. Customer service did not even bother to call and explain they simply closed the ticket. This shows how rudely Airtel treats its customer.

    Even I’m facing the same issue. I enabled WhatsApp pack today by paying ₹46. Sadly when I try to use it, I noticed that I was being deducted from main balance. I called up customer centre to enquire about the same and I was informed then that its only for text usage. I am deeply disappointed with service of Airtel by not informing customer about the terms and conditions. I hope no other customer falls prey to such marketing gimmicks.
