IRCTC NOT GIVING REFUND FOR WAITLISTED TIFCKET OF RAJDHANI EXPRESS

Dear sir,

I shall like to inform you that we were not aware that we need to take the certificate from the TTE mentioning that only one passenger had travelled against the train ticket PNR 6209248162 out of total four passengers.

We were under the impression that the wait listed tickets of Rajdhani express will get automatic refund, when the passengers did not get the confirmation. And also, we were not aware that we need to take the written certificate from the TTE, mentioning that these three passengers could not get the confirmation and so they could not get into the train using this wait-listed tickets. We hoped that the wait-listed passengers were not allowed into the Rajdhani express, so it is quite evident from this fact that the tickets of these three passengers out of total four passengers could not get the confirmation and so it is obvious that these three passengers did not travel using this wait-listed ticket in this Rajdhani train.

As we were not aware of this certificate from the TTE, so we did not take this written certificate from the TTE of this train.

At the time of boarding using this ticket, it was well discussed with the corresponding TTE of the train, but he never explained about this procedure to get the refund and also this TTE did not allow these wait-listed passengers to travel using this wait-listed tickets. Please note we were never aware of the TDS procedure.

Please note that we had paid huge amount for these tickets and we will not able to bear this loss, if this amount is not refunded.

I humbly request you to kindly do the needful, so that we can get the reimbursement of the same.

Please try to understand our position and do the needful to get us the refund as early as possible.

Please check the status online in your records for this TDR No. Reference No: ekt2012061004914620 for the PNR No. 6209248162.
They say that the refund is rejected as per the email received against my TDR from your department. (REGRET Dear Customer, With Reference to your PNR No:6209248162, we regret to inform you that refund is not admissible as informed by Railways through their letter no : CNR080612V29557/17.07.12/NR and the reason being : 17849-NR/OL12 Failed to collect TDR/TTE Certificate/GC In case you require any further assistance, please mail us at [email protected] With regards, TDR TEAM )
I would like to know, how your railway department can deny the refund, when we have not availed or travelled using this wait-listed train ticket, that too in Rajdhani express, as wait-listed passengers are not allowed in the train.
And as per your standard practise, railway department should refund the amount of waitlisted train tickets automatically even without applying through TDR process.
I request you to kindly verify all the data and get the refund for the wait-listed tickets, which we have not utilized and I shall be obliged for the same.

Kindly note that your refund is in process through TDR (Ticket Deposit Receipt). Refund under this category is processed by the railways under the present commercial rules and this process takes minimum 90 days or more. Once the refund is received from the railways the same will be credited to your account.

We had already filed this through TDR, but they are refusing to pay now.
Please see that we get the reimbursement, as the passengers did not travel using this ticket and all the details are mentioned in my below trailing emails.
Please do the needful, so that I get the refund, as it is a huge amount, which I had paid through credit card and this amount is still due to pay to the credit card company.
please help me in this regard.
