Internet fraud by all service providers, TRAI must look into it..

Location/place: Delhi

Name of company/service: Internet

Why do all the internet operators eat data balance if you don’t use the data in one month? Why it is not carried forward? Why do these internet companies be it airtel, vodaphone, aircel, idea, reliance etc eat internet data if you are not able to use the data? Why do they eat balance? Also if you recharge with say 98,99,95 plans and recharge your account again on the same day your earlier GBs are deleted and fresh data is installed. When I have paid for the GBs why I cannot buy more GBs. This is fraud by all internet companies. GBs must get added when I am paying for it. But on the contrary if you recharge two times your earlier recharge gets deleted. This was not their earlier. Some years back your GBs used to get added and carried forward in next month if you had not consumed it. Also if I have recharged 2G plan and then I buy 3G plan also why the 2G plan is deleted. Why only one plan can run ? Why can’t I run both the plans simultaneously. Why I have to wait for another month to get my 2G get finished and then install 3G. This is wrong practice. All internet companies must take note of it. Even TRAI should look into it. Thanks

  3. I am Airtel Prepaid Consumer. Last month in September 2013, I recharged my account with Rs. 125/- internet pack and received 1 GB of Internet with a validity of 30 days. This pack was going to finish on 4th October.

On 4th October 2013, there was around 300 MB (approx.) data left out of 1 GB

I have recharged my account on 4th october before expiry of 1 GB pack with another Rs. 149/- to get the 1.2 GB of data. But that 300 MB of data has not been carried forward to my account.

At present, total data into my account must be around 1500 MB while it is showing only 1208 MB.

Request you to look into the matter. I have written this to you for quick resolution in my favour before I approach TRAI or consumer forum for this. TRAI.

Kindly refer this URL of TRAI where It is explicitly mentioned that any unused balance in the prepaid account shall be carried forward and credited if the subscriber recharges within the period specified for the purpose.

    Hope you will resolve shortly.
