I am using vodafone Postpaid plan which has unlimited data bandwidth. Suddenly I found last two months I have been charged for some download. When I inquired customer care they replied you downloaded “shotformat_dwnlp”. I tried to convey that my plan says I have unlimited data bandwidth, for which I pay more rental already. But the guy in CC was repeating statement like you have charged because you have downloaded some short format content, It was quite high charge of 99/- this time. I don’t understand how I can be charged when already I already paying for unlimited data. this is complete fraud from vodafone to cut the pocket of customer from backdoor. How I can identify the shotformat_dwnlp? We just browse the website, use emails with attachment.
I completely shocked for such charges and also more shocked to hear reply from customer care executive where he could not justify the charges but was insisting you downloaded, you pay!

Even Vodafone also charged me extra saying some ‘shortformat_dwnlp’. And I have no idea what is this…

Hey guyz I’m Just Encounter The Same Problem & Search on google for Short format Service & Found this article.. today at 2.21P.M vodafone charged from my 1779 Rs & Deduct My 99/- Rs balance… few Minutes Ago when I called upon their cc they just tell that this is not an Vodafone service so I dont get refund.. plz help me

I am also facing the same problem…without my concern they cut 99 rs from my main balance..when i call cc a very rude person dont even bother to give the detail….he just telling me that u have downloaded short format…what the hell is this “short format”…..no idea whats goin on…..is this a money making streatagy of vodafone? I want my money back…what should i do now…?
