FAULTY MOTHER BOARD SUPPLIED ON PURCHASE

I’ve purchased the Motherboard GA-B75M-D3H (1.2) online from snapdeal.com and retail invoice dated 17.11.2014 issued from the seller AR SOFT SOLUTIONS, 7, KAMALA NEHRU ROAD, CIVIL LINES, CITY: ALLAHABAD, STATE: UTTAR PRADESH, PIN – 211001. I’m attaching the scanned copy of RETAIL INVOICE for ready reference. The mother board was delivered to me on 22.11.2014 and during installation it is found that the same was not working. I informed both snapdeal.com & Gigabyte e-Support to replace the faulty Mobo as I need it badly to upgrade my PC for my son’s higher study. Then I contacted the service centre of Gigabyte situated at B2-B3, 2nd Floor, Central Plaza, 41, B. B. Ganguly Street, Kolkata – 700012 while they replaced my new board with a repaired one. When I asked them that the motherboard of mine is new and needs to be replaced with new one, they ignored. I mostly have the complaint against Gigabyte Technologies while they are a multinational company with a business chain worldwide and the customers are gone with them with good faith on their goodwill. But sorry to say, Gigabyte e-Support of India did not take care of customer’s satisfaction while they are just ignoring customer’s demand with baseless logic. Moreover, one person contacted me over phone and sidetracking my demand for replacement of my Motherboard which was purchased a month back (since that conversation) and found defective during installation. He admitted my complaint saying that the fault was there with a component related to power supply but disagreed to have accorded as to how the faulty Motherboard passed ‘Quality Assurance’ of a company like Gigabyte having business worldwide. He was then advising me to have a better SMPS for my computer but deferred away of being agreed about failure of the company’s ‘Quality Assurance.’ I, then, understood that the Gigabyte’s wing in India would do nothing towards customer’s satisfaction and found no other way but to find it better to inform wbconsumers.gov.in but decision still pending. I’m now finding no other way informing you about the problem I faced with the name “GIGABYTE,” as it has its business worldwide being a multinational company, with the hope that you must forward the same to the Headquarters of Gigabyte as this type of negligence would bring bad reputation to the company’s goodwill whatever small it may be and arrange for replacement of motherboard with new one.
I have the priviledge to inform that there is no information available in the website (www.gigabyte.in) of GIGABYTE TECHNOLOGY INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED regarding office address at Kolkata except the following information.
“Get a quick response to your queries from GIGABYTE Technology India. We welcome you to use the below information to contact us for any of your motherboard-related sales or service queries. West Bengal: Sayan Bhattacharya 97485 02710 [email protected]
Moreover, it is to inform that according to information available from the website of (www.gigabyte.in ) of GIGABYTE TECHNOLOGY INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED regarding service centre over Kolkata I got the following address wherefrom the ‘NEW’ motherboard of mine has been replaced with one ‘REPAIRED’ motherboard. “B2-B3, 2nd Floor, Central Plaza, 41, B. B. Ganguly Street, Kolkata – 700012.”
And, after a thorough search I could hardly find any information about Kolkata office of snapdeal.com except following information:

Question: Its really hopeless as to how the complaint are being dealt with by GIGABYTE, a multinational company having goodwill worldwide. But I felt unhappy while your eSupport team did not take care of replacing my faulty mobo with a new one as I have purchased the product on 17.11.2014 and found faulty during installation. I could not understand as to how your ‘quality assurance’ works. A boxed product which is sold as so called ‘brand new’ as to how the same becomes faulty after passing quality assurance of a reputed company like yours. I went on to the gigabyte service center of KOLKATA where they agreed upon my claim of receiving faulty mobo but refused to change the same with a new box-packed mobo rather they replaced the same with a repaired mobo. I just ask your goodwill whether a buyer may get happy by replacing his ‘brand new’ material with a repaired one within a month. Hope you would think to make me happy by replacing the repaired one with a box-packed new mobo. I even couldn’t understand the period upto which period my warranty remains against Serial No: SN140940071292 of the mobo which I had baught. I have such experience while a multinational copmpany of consumer product while came to know that some one has sold fake material to a customer with their brand name, they had sent their representative to that unsatisfied customer by gifting him a pack of their products to maintain their goodwill. I know about the multinational company of food product who buries their expired product to maintain goodwill. Then why shouldn’t you? Therefore, if you find any hardware issue, you can contact your supplier right away and they shall be able to assist. If you contact our service center, they can most likely help to replace / repair products because it is a repair center and they do not sell brand new products.
Secondly, please confirm whether the replacement they gave you runs well? If so, you do not have to worry about using the product. Besides, the warranty will be the same as your original purchased product and we suggest you to keep the receipt with you, too.

Question: Gigabyte is itself an institution and they have the service centers all over the country, then, as to how every service center can have their own policy. There should be one policy of Gigabyte which every service center would follow. this reply is not satisfactory. As to why Gigabyte would not have the policy to exchange the faulty product (if found on testing)with new one as such when the product has been purchase one month ago and there is original cash memo for that. Question: I’ve asked them (i.e. snapdeal.com) regarding the issue but they have replied that seven days time for replacement is over as such they have nothing to do and advised to contact the the brand service centre as the produch has manufactureer’s warranty. It’s my ill fate that I’ve purchased the product with good will but both the seller & manufacturer are advising me to find out the path of remedy.
