This is my conversatiion with NOKIA CARE INDIA. I am now fed up with NOKIA Company and please take some neccessary actions for the same so that money should be utilised in a good manner. It’s my humble request to you to help me in replacing of my mobile.

This e-mail is in reference to the service provision of your Nokia 500.

We regret that you have gone through this inconvenience due to the service provision of your mobile phone. Please be assured that the matter would be looked into on a priority basis.

As per the telephonic conversation with the Nokia Care Center, we would like to inform you that your device has been assessed as liquid damaged. We would like to inform you that under Nokia’s Warranty Guideline, liquid damage is not covered under warranty and it may be repaired outside the warranty with repair charges. The device would be repaired under warranty provided no physical or liquid damage is found within the 12 months from date of purchase. In the event if the device is assessed with liquid damage, then the warranty is not applicable.

In that instance, the customer is to pay for the service charge on the device plus other repair charges to be incurred should the customer choose to have the device repaired. Some cases of device ingression, devices may be repaired and a quotation will be provided for the repair, but in other cases where repair is not be possible and customers will be advised accordingly.

Furthermore, once a device has been assessed as liquid ingressed and repaired at our Nokia Care Centre, we are unable to guarantee the device will not fault again in the future as it has been assessed as beyond repair due to liquid ingression. Nokia stands by our Nokia Care Centre report and our limited warranty clause (which can be found on your user manual): clause 9 (A), which explains that liquid ingression is not covered by the warranty.

Hence, we request you to please contact the same Nokia Care Center in order to approve the repair charges for your Nokia device, so that the Nokia Care Center team will initiate the service provision of your Nokia device.

We recommend you to take along the proof of purchase/receipt while visiting the Nokia Care Centre.

Before submitting your phone at the Nokia Care Centre, you may kindly take a backup of the phone contacts data to the SIM card. If the phone supports memory card, take a back up of contacts, messages, images, clips etc. on to the memory card or on to the PC. Back up can be taken, provided the phone is in “Power ON” condition. The technicians at the Nokia Care Centre and Nokia India would not be responsible for the loss of data during the repair process.

Please follow below mentioned steps to take back up of your phone.

1. Connect your phone with PC via USB cable.
2. Run Nokia Suite Application.
3. Click on Tools.
4. Click on back up.
6. Click on Next.
6. Select Content for back up.
7. Click on Start to perform back up Operation.

To restore device back up please follow below mentioned steps:
1. Connect your phone with PC via USB cable.
2. Run Nokia Suite Application.
3. Click on Tools.
4. Click on Restore.
5. Select the latest back up file from your phone.
6. Click on Start to restore.

Note: your device should be fully charged before back up and restore.

    I have Lumia 720 handset my phone is dead before 11 days ago i go to the nokia care to show my phone they check my handset’s conditions they told me there are 10 or 12 dasy for service b’coz we have to send your phone at higher level center. So, i agree with them… After 10 days they called me and say your phone cannot repair by higher level center….
    This is unfair with me. I just want solution of my problem. Now i want my device in working condition.

    मेरा नाम ब्रजेश श्रीवास्तव है मैंने अपना नोकिया सी 5 मोबाइल की कैबिनेट और एलसीडी बदलाने के लिए ढाई महीने पहले सोमदत्त प्लाजा कानपूर के अपैक्स नोकिया केयर में दिया था । मुझे एक सप्ताह में मोबाइल बनाकर देने की बात कही गयी थी लेकिन तब से लेकर आज तक मैंने दस चक्कर लगाये हर बार मुझे अगले सप्ताह कहकर टरका दिया गया। लेकिन मेरा मोबाइल आज तक नही बना। सबसे बड़ी बात ये है की इन ढाई महीनों में मुझे एक बार भी इसकी कोई भी सूचना तक नही दी गयी।आज मुझसे कहा गया की इसकी कबिनेट कंपनी में मौजूद ही नहीं है आप इसे ले जा सकते है। इतना ही नही इस दौरान केयर के कर्मचारियों ने इतनी बदतमीजी से बात की जिससे मेरी प्रतिष्ठा को कडा आघात लगा है उन्होंने कहा हम कैबिनेट अपने घर में थोडा बनायेंगे। और आपको सूचना देना भी जरूरी नही ।
    नोकिया एक विश्वस्तरीय कंपनी है और अगर उसकी उपभोक्ता सर्विस इस तरह की होगी तो कौन इस कंपनी की सुविधाओं का उपयोग करेगा।इसके साथ ही इस ढाई महीने से मुझे जिस तरह की असुविधा हो रही है इससे मेरे उपभोक्ता अधिकारों का भी हनन हुआ है ।अतः आपको सूचित करने के साथ ही मुझे कानूनी कार्यवाही करने पर भी बाध्य होना होगा।
    महोदय इस शिकायत के आधार पर मै उम्मीद करूंगा की आप अपनी इस तरह की उपभोक्ता सर्विस और सेवा प्रदेताओ के बारे में अवश्य विचार करेंगे।

    I have given my NOkia lumia 620in Nokia care Hyderabad for servicing on 19th jun 2014 and phone is under warranty and not even case of water contact.
    Problem statement: On switchoff battery is getting discharged and not able to charge again. I am facing battery drain out problem since last 2 months on switchoff.
    Different Reply from Nokia : Reply 1 on 25th June: There is problem with board so given it to factory and you will get it in next week. Reply 2 on 30th June: your phone has water damage. So, we may/ may not able to repair this.

    Please look into this. As I cant accept this is water damage case in any situation from my side as phone was in switchoff mode in flight. Please provide proper service . As I am not getting any proper service and response from nokia care center and 2 different peoples are giving different problem in same phone.

    I bought Lumia 925 on 13/10/2013 from the Mobile Store, Sec 18 Noida for 38k. It was working fine, though the well known “heating issue” was there since very first day.

    Last Week, I had some trouble with volume and it was decreasing constantly. So, I called Nokia Support. And as per there suggestion, I performed a hard reset. Since then, My phone freezes constantly while using 3g and the mic has stopped working as well. First I want to know the exact definition/meaning of “Liquid Problem”. It has been 2 weeks, I visited the service center in Sec 10 Noida and they told me that there is was liquid inside the phone and that was quite strange as it was fully laminated. Then, They asked me to replace the touch as they believe that there is problem with touch. However, it is hard to believe them as I can use my phone without any problem when I am not using 3g. So, as a result I called support again and they arranged a pickup, which didnt happen. The person who called me for the varfication, forced me to visit the same service center.

    Now, I want a replacement. Having paid you Rs. 38000, now, I dont have enough time to visit your service Center daily neither to call your support or Email or chat .I am out of my patience. They are least bothered about their customers

    @Govind:Nokia care centre peoples are also giving me same reason of water damage and liquid inside phone. I detected problem in flight and mobile was in switchoff mode.
    @Nokia: I want replacement as mobile is under warranty since I am tracking this since last two weeks without any proper response from Nokia service center.

    @ Shilpa…they are freeks, they are least bothered about their customers…I wish that they get banned to sell phones in India…they are trying to stand in front of apple and Sony by increasing their prices though they cannot give a service equuivalent to apple or Sony…nokia support sucks and microsoft has definetly made a mistake by buying the garbage..cannot lift the brand with crap peoples and policies

    Dear Nokia Concern Team, I have purchased a Nokia 108 mobile on 04/04/14 from AKASH COMMUNICATION(9923767616/8888518881)Lonavala,pune ,pin-410401,pune,Maharashtra but from the beginning phone is having some defect/problem with its battery,getting switched off automatically….I am very much disappointed with the product and the quality of service extended by your service centre(went on 6th & 13th june 10am approx at F.C.Road Nokia centre ,Pune both the days but they took it and returned after 10min and said done), but the same problem is continuing then next day on 14th june i went to your another nokia care centre at chinchwad(5.30pm on 14/06/14) near pune but here also same thing done they took my mobile check and returned to me but nothing has taken care..
    I am a aged man,in rainy season every time i had to take the product to nokia authorised service centre but don’t know why this product is not getting replaced rather than doing useless repairing..if your technicians are not able to repair a small budget cell phone then howthe people /customer will keep trust a brand like nokia …hope this the reason due to that people are purchasing samsung,spice,micromax etc….. dear nokia management wake up…!!! give more attention on after sales service..!!! please replace my mobile otherwise I have to file a complain to consumer court and zee helpline in next week..

    I purchased nokia mobile Model Lumia 720 in Octobor 2013. It was working well but one day problem of hanging over & low sound was arised, hence I went to your Dwarka service center : – Shop No S-2/3, Plot No 1, Second Floor, Manish Metro Plaza, Pocket-5, Above Bercos Restaurant, Dwarka Sector 12, Delhi – 110078 on Saturday 14-06-2014. They resolved the problems within 1 hr(I do not know what they did with my mobile perhaps they changed some parts). I came home and put the mobile on charge but it could not charge. Again I went to Dwarka service center where the person( Mr. Gaurav) told me that I will have to pay Rs. 2000/- to resolve problem of not charging as charging point has damaged.
    I am 100% sure that problem of charging pin arised at customer service center Dwarka..
    I contact at customer care cal center (complaint no. 1-15255841174) and they provided me 2 location ( Karol Bagh & Pitam Pura) service center to know the exact problem, I went to both the center where I was told to pay Rs. 2900/(Karol Bagh) and Rs. 7500/- (Pitam Pura).
    Again I Contacted at customer care call center & inform above feedback of both service center.
    Now call center executives are not providing me any solution rather then telling me false consolation.(from 14-06-2014 to 26-07-2014)
    .Now I have no way and disappointed & frustrated.
    Moral : Nokia should resolve the problem at no cost to me because the problem was arised due to their negligence.

    My lumia 720 was dead because of battery drainage. I take it to the “nokia care centre, syndicate, kalyan (421301)”. They checked my device and told me that it was a liquid damage. For repair it will cost approx 7803rs..
    I submitted my device for repaire, after 2 days they called me and said that your device is repaired, I asked them (nokia care) what was the problem, the guy told me that there is a fault with the motherboard and they replaced it. I paid the charges of repaire. And after 2 days the phone again gone dead because of battery drainage.
    I want refund (I WANT MY 7803rs back), and now I’m not interested to repaire it and visit ncc again n again. If they refuse to give me refund I’m going to consumer court.

    this joke with me sir, how many time i will visit in service center, every time they will taken 15-20 ???

    from date of purchase to till date, i am not satisfy with ur device performance due to manufacture defect, now i want to refund my money, otherwise i will call lodge to consumer forum or legal action.

After seven days when i asked them about the status, then only they told me that my screen is damaged and it needs to be changed. After few days, when I went to take my phone back, I asked them to test the phone infront of me, then they told me that we don`t have any battery to test your phone. Can anyone believe that a service center doesn`t have a nokia XL battery. They are so unprofessional that they even did not bother to take my signature on the jobsheet paper.

    This email is specially sent to u to tell u about the hat with “JACKASS” embedded on it, which I am wearing today, as I did buy a NOKIA LUMIA 720 few months ago. Heard from the elders that Nokia makes best and most durable phones, and under that influence I bought a lumia worth 16000 rupees. Warranty of my phone is perishing on 14th march 2015. Between this course of 8 months I have visited the service center lot of times. Most durable, as heard, turned out to b most worthless and I have wasted my 16000 rupees over this Lumia.
    Three months ago I had a problem with my phone. My audio jack was not working properly and hence I went to the service center (Prudent telecom services) in Thane. The workers there were not able to make things right and hence my phone was sent to the company in Chennai. After a long wait of approx 31 days I got a call from the service center on 11th December 2014. My phone was replaced. As I had my birthday on 13th December I was very much excited and happy to get a new phone. But again this new replaced phone had a problem (vibration not working). And within three days on 15th December I had submitted my phone again and as the losers in the service center were not able to fix it, it was sent AGAIN to the company (P.S. Thank you for ruining my birthday). AGAIN after a long wait of 15 days I got my phone back on 29th December. And AGAIN today that is 1stJanuary 2015 I have my phone submitted AGAIN as it is having a problem AGAIN (camera not working). As usual again the losers in the service center r not able to fix it, the phone is sent to Chennai and I would get it after 15 days.
    So practically speaking, out of the 12 months of warranty, 2-3 months the phone is in your company (Chennai) getting repaired AGAIN and AGAIN.
    So I need to ask u a reason to trust such a worthless and unreliable company for one of the most important media of communication, cell phones. Pathetic, extremely time consuming, unreliable, and worthless are the adjectives that can b given to your company and your services. Not only me but many like me are extremely unhappy and humiliated by your products and services. My phone has become a point of humor and fun in my friend circle and this disgusts me. And now at least the limit for me is crossed. Rather my patience is tried for a long time and I simply give up ignoring and forgiving.
    So not a threat but a warning to u guys, stop trying the patience of your customers as they r dependent on u for their daily mode of communication. And now if I don’t get a replaced or a fully functional LUMIA 720 in seven days, all these reports would go viral as u know how easy it is to become social today. The free internet and a large space to make u guys naked in front of the customers is the only way u guys can understand our problems and would stop taking INDIANS FOR GRANTED, mind well! And soon that would turn into a reality. And also there are a lot of newspapers today who need spicy news. And I know few hungry reporters.

  46. i have kidn of same issue.
    I have lumia 925, it gets switched off any time without any reason.
    I have visited Nokia Care and they have just reset the photo and gave it back to me saying that problem will not come again.
    Same problem arise just after one week and went to Nokia Care again and now they told that Liquid is identified on Flash Light so we can’t take this phone in warranty (My phone is still in warranty, but they said that liquid has been identified hence it will not count this in warranty). The same problem arise even though they are not answering saying that this time liquid identified.

    Now, they told me that it will be chargeable however they are not still sure about my issue of switch off (this is technical issue) even though they are relate it with liquid damage.

    I am agree to change that part which has liquid, however they are not sure after replacing that my problem will resolve and not giving any commitment that problem will not arise again (even on chargeable base)

    Is this the way to not to provide support by just telling that liquid has been identified and your phone is not in warranty?

    Really very bad of Nokia service and devices.

    i am buy nokia lumia 535 dual sim mobile on 08-01-2015 from sector 22, chandigarh but this mobile stop working on 4th day then i go to nokia service center for D.O. but they ask D.O. is available only in four days. They register my complaint and send my mobile for service to delhi. They give me date of delivery 24-01-2015 but my mobile is not return me till today.

    I deposited my phone Nokia lumia 720 at ncc Rohini(dexters) on 09/01/2015. They said your phone need to go to higher authority for repair and will be repaired within 15 days. Now I contacted higher authority they don’t know where my phone is. I think they have lost it and are making silly excuses. I called them 9 times and the answer was same’ sir our server is down and we don’t know where your phone is’ what is going on….?
    either give me my phone or the money it was worth for…….

    I have purchased a Microsoft Lumia 535 through online from Snapdeal. Order No. 5969893289 on 25th April 2015, Item Code : LA129838. But after the use of 3 (three) months, my mobile has been hang and automatically switch ON/OFF then I submitted the Microsoft Mobile service center on 27th July 2015 and Service center was given me a Service Jobsheet including Jobsheet Number : 720504886/150727/002 and Delivery Date is 20th August 2015 but till today the 7th September 2015 I didn’t get my device. Whenever I was call to Service center, they didn’t give me proper answer, the Customer Care Executive always told me that you will get your device within two days, within one week etc. but still today I didn’t get my device after then I was call to Microsoft Customer Care Center and complain them for this harassment (Complain No. 1301902724) but result the same. 4 (Four) times I called them and the Customer Care Executive name is Shiva, Saurav, Pankaj another person name I don’t know always told me that between today 7 PM, within 3 hours technical person will call you but no one can contact me. Now what shall I do for that matter. If you give me proper way for solve this problem and getting my device than I am very much thankful to you.

  51. this email is regarding repair issue. I submitted my lumia 535 at care point jodhpur on 25 jan 2015 as it has some charging issues. I was told that there is some problem in motherboard and the handset has to be sent to the company and I will recieve it back within 20 days. Its been 40 days and i have been calling the customer care but am not getting a proper response from your team regarding this. i need my phone as soon as possible. My studies and my job both are getting affected because of this. i need a solution within 24 hours or i will go to consumer court. Worst company and executives I have come across till now.

They said your phone display not working need to replace, but still date they are answering part is not available at our end you need to stay for some time. how many days ……..
    either repair my mobile otherwise give my money.
