TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN
We are old hp customers, but we are not satisfied with the service and performance of HP and its service providers. Last year in July-August, 2011 my HP laptop ( dv5-1201au), Serial No.-(CNF915210W) developed some problem and we took it to hp (Intarvo) service centre at Okhla New Delhi. They diagnosed the problem of motherboard and it was replaced on the cash payment (Rs. 10,000/-). We have all the related papers along with us. The motheboard replaced could not install/accept the original windows because its cofiguration was diffrent i.e its processor was RM-70 with 2.0 ghz speed. We redeposited the laptop at intarvo service center. This time they again replaced the motherboard with processor having orignal configuration ie. RM -72 with 2.1 ghz speed. My son could identify from some marks on the externally visible terminals of the motherboard that this motherboard was our own motherboard which was repaired or refurbished and reinstalled.
Now, not even 1 year is over, my hp laptop has again developed a problem. On 22.06.12 we again deposited our laptop at intarvo service centre for diagnosis and got in touch with Mr. Sanjay Sopori of Intarvo. Almost a week is over but we have not so far received any call from the intarvo enineer about the diagnosis report. I have very clearly told Mr. Sanjay Sopori ( by telephone as well as by email) that the problem of motherboard is a major problem and it should not be appearing after every less than a years time. If it is so, the quality of the motherboard is sub standard. Intarvo (Mr. Sanjay Sopori email: [email protected]) and HP customer care (Mr. Rafeiq Mohammed email: [email protected]) have turned down my request of repairing the laptop free of cost. It is a clear cut cheating with the customers by hp and its service providers. Nowhere in their papers is written that the job which they carried out last year has a warranty of 3 months . My point is that do they expect customer to keep on changing motherboard (a major part in computer) in less than year’s time. If it is so, where the total cost of laptop will land. It is not a small defect but it relates to motherboard (a repeated problem). It is very clear that the motherboard replaced last year was substandard and not up to the mark for which intarvo is responsible. Let people know, how HP treats the customers. My question is simple that if a major part like motherboard goes defective and it is replaced by the company then is its quality so much poor that it goes again defective in less than a year’s time.
A customer gets it repaired by HP’s authorised service centre because he/she feels that a quality work will be done. If it is a quality work, then why should it go defective in less than a years time. It confirms that the job done is a substandard one and that is why HP gives warranty for only three months.
I request the competent authority to intervene personally and teach a lesson to HP and get the proper repairs of laptop (replacement of the mother board) done free of cost because this reflects over the poor quality of material (motherboard) used by HP. I wish that more and more people know about the poor quality of service and material provided by HP so that they are not cheated.
