Case against RELIANCE COMMUNICATIONS for their pathetic service and harassing attitude to solve and address the concern.

Name of company/service: Reliance Communication

Hi,

I had bought a Reliance Netconnect USB device with a plan where I paid three months of rental charges in advance, in the month of September 2011.

I had complained RCOM regarding their disruptive and poor service of the device and software used, for two times.

At one instance, I got a call from RCOM during the month of October-November, for a feedback about the device and their service. I explained them all the glitches and informed them that it is really hard to use their service because of poor network coverage, poor performance of software being used to connect to the internet through their USB device, ultimately I ended up with frustration using their device.

In the month on December (27th Dec,’2012) I migrated to Noida, during first week of january, I observed the services again because of my changed geographic location, but still there was no improvement in the services ultimately, I decided to completely discontinue the use of the device.

On 15/14 February, logged a complaint to RCOM customer care, for discontinuing the services for my device.

On 16th/17th Feb, I paid some 200 Rupees against the usage charges for the device, for the month of February.

Later on I got the bill of amount Rs:984.18, it includes the rental charges for the whole month of January, wherein I did not use their device and services at all.

I told them on the email communication, that I ‘ll only be paying the amount only for the time for which I have used their services and not for the full month, because there was no action taken on any of my repeated requests to enhance the software or change the device which I was using.

They did not revert to me with any solution or did not tell me about what all are my usage charges and what all is the rent amount included in the bill of Rs:984.18
and without any prior intimation they issued a Pre Litigation in my name.

However, I have replied them, that appearing for this Pre Litigation is not feasible for me as I am out of the state. This is the way RCOM is harassing their customers, with poor services and on top of that, legal notices without intimations or efforts to settle the disputes.

Following is the copy of the letter RCOM issued in my name:

I have not given you any number yet, where did you try calling RCOM?

WOW RCOM…! I was expecting this copy pasted reply from you, as I have already read through on of the similar problem with other customer on the following link and there too, you did the same replies… If this is the way you reply, then I know even your next comment on this page. 🙂

I wish you would have read my last comment before writing rather copy pasting your last comment…!

Please read my last comment, it clearly mentions my email id: [email protected] , and I wrote, let your customer service team contact me on this email id and I ‘ll share my latest contact number to you over the email.

Don’t do the formality by just copy pasting your comments to make your image clearer about customer service and concern, rather you should actually prove your customer service by resolving customer issues.

Anyone over this portal, please help me resolve the issue, otherwise, I may need to trigger my lawyer to prepare for the trial and defense proceedings.

    Thank you!

    Kind regards,
    -Supreet

  5. i know my comment remove by the website owner, i am sanding a copy to your mail [email protected]
**supreet this website(consumerforums.in/consumercourt.in and ETC..) is a fired website, this site in cyber crime because this site is not a government authorized and this is only made for making money through ads, This forum is just doing business. Any government authorized forum or website never do advertisements. Note:RCOM Never contract to you throe this site..and resolve you prob. by court, Pre-litigation is the term used to describe activity that happens regarding a legal claim before a lawsuit is officially filed. Insurance adjusters, litigation attorneys and paralegals often spend a significant amount of time working on a case in the pre-litigation stage in the hopes of settling it fairly without having to file a suit. Several pre-litigation protocols must be followed during this stage of conflict.

  6. We have never claimed to be the official consumer forums website – please read the section about consumerforums.

As for your claims about us only business, that is untrue. We have been online for the last four years, and we were running the website as a service without displaying any ads (use sites like the wayback machine to see our ad free site from 2009-mid 2012 http://archive.org/web/web.php). We have recently started displaying ads to cover our hosting costs which had grown with the huge amount of traffic. That covers only the existing server charges, and not the lakhs we have spent on public service over the last many years.

    Hi Supreet,
What is the status of your complaint? I too have the same kind of problem now. Just wanted to check what you have done to it. Thanks!

  8. I was using reliance communication net-connect+ data card for over five years from 2009 to 2014 during the course i have generated more than 50,000 worth of revenue to reliance, I never defaulted from maying the bill not even once in 60+ months, I was happy a suggested this to few of my friends and went on to purchase the data card from reliance
At the time of purchase I had paid 3600 for the card; in August -2014 the datacard stopped working. hence i reported the same to Mathikere Rcom center bangalore they asked me to purchase new card which was cos then i decided to close the account and had paid the excess 15 days amount+that month bill (Rs, 1350/-), as the executive suggested me that backend operations take time to close the account.
post one week i got a call from executive about retention by upgrading to new data-card device with a higher speed, since the coverage was not good hence i denied the offer over phone, for two months everything was silent, in december 2014 I got a call from collection dept. stating that i need to pay around 1100 as late payment fees to close my account and visit nearest rcom center to pay, when i went to the rcom mathikiere and found that there there was a miscommunication from centre to back-end and he convinced me that i dont need to pay anything and the account shall be closed.

today i received the mail from rcom stating pre letigation case : this is a nothing mental harrasment leading to loss of my productivity at my work place My point is why reliance takes such a long process to close the account, why it cant be done in 24-48 hours as it happens when purchasing a new plan. I wish reliance to take strict action on the emplyees/executive for such a delayed and never ending account closure process. this shall defenately lead to bring bad name to the company.

  9. Same has happened with me. None of the tickets were entertained by rcom. I have all email communications done with them during the service period. I am planning to file a PIL against such fraudulent behavior towards the customers. We are paying high amounts for no reasons.
